The Eagle Condor Alliance offers 10 Day Sacred Medicine Retreats in the mountains outside of Medellin, Colombia.  Our next retreat dates are June 23rd – July 2nd.

Participants stay in comfortable glamping, camping, and shared cabin accommodations while experiencing traditional Ayahuasca (Yagé), San Pedro Cactus, Peyote and Temazcal (Inipi) ceremonies.

At Eagle Condor Alliance, our central mission is to spread consciousness, awareness and love by being the bridge between our participants and the ancient traditions and sacred medicines of the Americas. We are ultimately concerned with supporting the elders of these traditions and with conserving the forests of Colombia where these medicines, traditions, and wisdoms are found.

Healing With All of the Sacred Medicines

We offer the sacred plants of the Americas in one powerful and rejuvenating 10 day retreat. Ayahuasca, San Pedro, and Lakota Sioux inipi (sweat lodge) ceremonies each have their own unique spirit, tradition, and way of showing us to ourselves. We believe that using these plants together in guided contexts creates the most profound and curative spiritual experience.

Intensive Plant Medicine Immersion Experience

The demanding itinerary of ECA retreats requires that participants approach the medicine with respect, reverence and strength. These medicines lead us to confront both the beauty and darkness in each of us, and will power is needed to maintain consistent focus on our transformative internal process during the retreat.

Our Commitment to the Individual

Each participant comes with his or her own past experiences, health concerns, goals, ambitions, medical history, and intentions for the retreat. At ECA, we have small retreat groups. The group is cared for by 3 group facilitators and 2 experienced healers who are committed to creating bonds of trust and compassion that form the foundation for the healing processes of participants.

Experienced Healers and The Purest Medicine

ECA’s healers have been finding, harvesting, and preparing their own medicines to the benefit of their respective communities for over 40 years. They offer these gifts from Mother Earth in their purest forms. ECA’s medicines are never altered or mixed with other substances or plants. They are provided with respect and love in traditional ceremonies from the Cofán community of the Amazon, the Lakota-Sioux of North America, and the traditional Andean peoples.

The Setting – Colombia’s Natural Beauty

The retreat centre is located at an altitude of 2300m surrounded by dense Andean sub tropical rain forest, spectacular views of the valley, pristine drinking water, your own private river, hiking, wildlife, and comfortable glamping and camping options

Comfort and Rejuvenation

Comfort is a crucial element in this reviving and re-energizing experience, and it’s typically forgotten by most other retreat centers. Participants at ECA retreats: sleep in comfortable, soft beds, take hot showers, eat delicious, healthy cuisine, drink fresh mountain water, walk outside without being devoured by insects, and are given ample alone time for reflection and self-examination. The mild climate also helps us rest.

Convenience and Price

Fly direct into Medellin’s international airport for a fraction of what it costs to get to Cusco, Leticia, Iquitos or other locations, and arrive at the retreat center in under 30 minutes via our private transport. No special vaccinations or injections required. We provide all food, housing, and on the ground transport in order to make our retreat relaxing and hassle free.

If you are called to this retreat…please go and be confident that you will be well taken care of on all levels. I would say more but anything beyond that would be insignificant compared to the experience. If you have the faith to trust in opening yourself to the healing of ayahuasca, do it here.

It’s hard to describe my experience in words, but hopefully what I write will help in your decision-making. After feeling ‘stuck’ at a certain point in my life, I decided it was time to give myself an opportunity to ‘reset’.

After doing an exhaustive search on the internet, I found the ECA’s website to be the most authentic, well-worded, and non-commercial. I was impressed by the fact that they give 25% of their income back to the indigenous elders, and to protect/restore the Amazon. They also require you to communicate with them via Skype for a two-way interview, and to fill out a health intake form. During the Skype interview with Hans, I strongly felt that I was meeting someone who was grounded, sincere, caring, and professional. There was no hard-sell tactic; quite the contrary. He was very honest about the therapeutic and non-recreational aspect of the retreat schedule.

Everyone’s experience with yage is different. Mine was difficult, but so is being me. While I didn’t love being under the influence as much as I wanted to (ask for a weaker brew if you’re highly sensitive), I was extremely moved by the care and attention that I, and all of us, were shown by Hans, Bobby, and Jesse. Whenever I was sick, or didn’t think I could go on, one of them was there with me, telling me that I was stronger than I realized. Before our first ceremony, I thought they had the coolest ‘job’ in the world. After one night of looking after us in the maloka, I now know how difficult and serious their work is.

Perhaps the best part of the experience for me was bonding with the rest of the group. I grew to love everyone in the group, and experienced deep connection, some of it with people I initially didn’t think I would want to hang out with for 10 days. We all arrived with whatever ‘armor’ we use to protect ourselves; 3 days into the retreat, most of that armor was gone, replaced by authenticity, kindness, vulnerability, and a camaraderie that only comes with sharing intense life-changing experiences.

I want to reiterate that Bobby, Hans, and Jesse are the real deal. They are faithful to the traditions and have the utmost integrity; single ladies can feel absolutely safe with these beautiful guys. They are also committed to living as sustainably as possible, and to giving back to the elders. Although originally from the U.S. and Australia, they speak perfect Spanish, have close Colombian friends, and have integrated into the culture. The shamen, Greison and Gonzalo, are also the real deal, and are very much an integral part of the ECA family, as is Eli, who tirelessly provided us with delicious and healthful food during our retreat.

If you want to swim with dolphins, sight-see, or go on long hikes, this is not your retreat. If you want an intense journey inward, and to experience profound, safe connection with others, with shamen and facilitators who have the integrity needed to do this work, this is the place. It can be a little chilly, so bring warmer clothes than you think you’ll need for a visit to Colombia.

I look forward to future retreats with these beautiful people.

There are no words to express this amazing experience. You must find out for yourself, but if you’re reading this right now, know that you are on the right track. In the 10 days I spent with ECA, I found a deep love, connection, and acceptance for planet, all that inhabit it, and beyond. It is the most profound healing I have ever received. We are largely responsible for our own journey with the medicine (it is 50% you, 40% medicine, and 10% shaman), and while this is true, that 10% shaman is crucial. Let Greison and Chalo (as well as Jesse, Bobby, and Hans) guide you on this incredible journey. Look no further.

I was a participant of the retreat in february 2018 and full of gratefullness, trying to give at least a little something back I will do my best to write a helpful review and express my gratitude towards the family and the medicines.

The profoundness, depth and intensity of the healing I was allowed to have is beyond the realm of anything I thought possible before the retreat.
The guidance and answers I received changed the course of my life forever.
Tears come to me when I imagine my life without the healing I experienced and the path I was shown by the medicines.

I am forever grateful for the family, who so kindly make it possible for us to take part in these sacred ceremonies and still guide and support everyone of us with inexhaustible patience and love.
The organization of the retreat, the ceremonies and everything else that you need when you are there are absolutely professional.

There is nothing that I can recommend more than participating in a retreat with the ECA family.

If you are reading these reviews and they spark something in your heart, please trust that feeling. I am so grateful I was led by my heart to this beautiful place. There is an incredibly strong and pure intention in the work that is carried out at the ECA. Hans, Bobby and Jesse were fantastic leaders. They guided us through a really integrated process from beginning to end. The principle of walking the path of the heart is encouraged through ritual, teaching and most importantly, by example. I am proud to have shared time with everyone I met there.

The ceremonies were life changing for me. I was incredibly grateful to be in the company of the healers Gonzalo and Greison who conducted the ceremonies with a magic and wisdom that is beyond me. It was my first time experiencing San Pedro and Ayahuasca, but I can tell that the medicines were very powerful and effective. The experience was indescribable and infinite. There was so much that I was shown by the medicine that it has changed me forever. It reconnected my towards my heart, my ability to love, my animal nature, and gave me a thousand lessons on gratitude, humility, compassion and respect. Thank you.

The set and setting of the whole retreat is perfect. Surrounded by beautiful trees and tropical birds and at 8,700 feet up in the mountain, I could think of nowhere I would rather go to reconnect. Everything is relaxed and inspiring. I must thank Elena for always preparing such delicious food with the warmest smile.

There is an authenticity, compassion, humanity and beauty to the whole process. I felt like I was always in safe hands. There is a great feeling of trust and warmth. I left feeling part of the ECA family, and I am forever grateful for my time there.
