The Eagle Condor Alliance offers 10 Day Sacred Medicine Retreats in the mountains outside of Medellin, Colombia.  Our next retreat dates are June 23rd – July 2nd.

Participants stay in comfortable glamping, camping, and shared cabin accommodations while experiencing traditional Ayahuasca (Yagé), San Pedro Cactus, Peyote and Temazcal (Inipi) ceremonies.

At Eagle Condor Alliance, our central mission is to spread consciousness, awareness and love by being the bridge between our participants and the ancient traditions and sacred medicines of the Americas. We are ultimately concerned with supporting the elders of these traditions and with conserving the forests of Colombia where these medicines, traditions, and wisdoms are found.

Healing With All of the Sacred Medicines

We offer the sacred plants of the Americas in one powerful and rejuvenating 10 day retreat. Ayahuasca, San Pedro, and Lakota Sioux inipi (sweat lodge) ceremonies each have their own unique spirit, tradition, and way of showing us to ourselves. We believe that using these plants together in guided contexts creates the most profound and curative spiritual experience.

Intensive Plant Medicine Immersion Experience

The demanding itinerary of ECA retreats requires that participants approach the medicine with respect, reverence and strength. These medicines lead us to confront both the beauty and darkness in each of us, and will power is needed to maintain consistent focus on our transformative internal process during the retreat.

Our Commitment to the Individual

Each participant comes with his or her own past experiences, health concerns, goals, ambitions, medical history, and intentions for the retreat. At ECA, we have small retreat groups. The group is cared for by 3 group facilitators and 2 experienced healers who are committed to creating bonds of trust and compassion that form the foundation for the healing processes of participants.

Experienced Healers and The Purest Medicine

ECA’s healers have been finding, harvesting, and preparing their own medicines to the benefit of their respective communities for over 40 years. They offer these gifts from Mother Earth in their purest forms. ECA’s medicines are never altered or mixed with other substances or plants. They are provided with respect and love in traditional ceremonies from the Cofán community of the Amazon, the Lakota-Sioux of North America, and the traditional Andean peoples.

The Setting – Colombia’s Natural Beauty

The retreat centre is located at an altitude of 2300m surrounded by dense Andean sub tropical rain forest, spectacular views of the valley, pristine drinking water, your own private river, hiking, wildlife, and comfortable glamping and camping options

Comfort and Rejuvenation

Comfort is a crucial element in this reviving and re-energizing experience, and it’s typically forgotten by most other retreat centers. Participants at ECA retreats: sleep in comfortable, soft beds, take hot showers, eat delicious, healthy cuisine, drink fresh mountain water, walk outside without being devoured by insects, and are given ample alone time for reflection and self-examination. The mild climate also helps us rest.

Convenience and Price

Fly direct into Medellin’s international airport for a fraction of what it costs to get to Cusco, Leticia, Iquitos or other locations, and arrive at the retreat center in under 30 minutes via our private transport. No special vaccinations or injections required. We provide all food, housing, and on the ground transport in order to make our retreat relaxing and hassle free.

The people at ECA are incredible to say the least. The knowledge of the healers and people who run the retreat is only second to their hospitality and their compassion for life itself. I love each and everyone of them and when you experience what they have to offer im sure you will too.

The retreat at ECA was a magnificent experience, a transformative process that starts before getting there and continues after leaving. The entire ECA community is absolutely great, you will feel welcome right from the beginning as everybody is extremely helpful and loving. For me, one of the most important aspects was the ever-present respect for the ancient traditions. This does not only hold true in ceremony (be it yage, san pedro, temazcal or tobacco) but also for all times in-between ceremonies. Next to the importance of carrying out a retreat in that way, as it will allow you to get the most out of the process, this respect for traditions also gives participants a lot of ideas on how to improve their everyday-lives. I can therefore only recommend this retreat to everyone who is serious about turning to the ancestral traditions for healing and changing their lives. Of course, every part of the ECA experienxe contributes to that: the medicine, the structure of the retreat, the amazing food, the atmosphere, the location and so many other aspects were responsible for all group participants to be left with a very deep feeling of thankfulness towards ECA.

The experience of Yage is noetic and ineffable and as much as I’d like to talk about it here, the act would be absurd for me to attempt. What I can say is that Eagle Condor Alliance is the only place I would send people I care about to experience the medicine. That’s not to say that there aren’t other retreats out there that are very good, and ECA is the only one I’ve been to, but my experience there transcended a mere group of strangers and became that of a family. This is because of the pure love that is Greison, Jessie and Bobby. Hans was not there for this retreat but I’m sure he is the same. The amount of dedication to the medicine from these three is unparalleled. They’ve dedicated their lives to the sanctity of the medicine without regard for money or personal gain. Had I just met them and not even imbibed, I’d have been inspired by their devotion alone. I weigh 200 lbs and became quite drunk from the medicine and I required a lot of attention and these guys were right there to help me where I needed it and also professional and experienced enough to let me help myself when I needed that. This is very important as the medicine can be serious stuff, depending on what you need, and having someone you can truly trust to help guide you is paramount.
The retreat is absolutely beautiful and the food is fantastic- colorful, healthy, vibrant and prepared with love by people that are happy and sympathetic to what you are going through.
The ECA has the added element of donating a significant portion of their proceeds and time to conservation of the medicine and its habitat. I’ll spend the rest of my life trying to thank Yage for what it gave me and the Eagle Condor Alliance will be instrumental in helping me to fulfill that.
    Grateful,

I attended two retreats with ECA, in September 2017 and a couple of months later in November. My decision to attend the retreat came as a final straw after nine years of severe chronic pain which was diagnosed as an autoimmune disease affecting the sacroiliac joints and the spine. I faced the choice of either going on lifelong immunosuppressant drugs and irreversible damage to my bones or following a deep and persistent calling to drink ancestral medicine. I had been thinking about it for 4 years I had researched many places and spoken to a few Taitas in the jungle however, as soon as I came upon ECA and had the Skype interview with Bobby I knew that my search had ended. I was assured by our conversation in which he showed infinite compassion and a genuine intention to help me and I have not looked back since.
The retreat itself is located in Santa Elena, mystical Andes mountains just on the outskirts of Medellin. At the retreat, we were introduced to the medicines and other master plants such as tobacco. We did an opening ceremony which now that I look back know opened my commitment to truly healing and connecting to the medicines, mother nature and the entire group. Bobby, Jesse and Hans’ commitment to the wellbeing of the entire group was so strong and got me through these extremely demanding retreats. They were always there to answer questions and give assurance about the serious work we were undertaking. The advice they gave on how to handle ourselves in ceremony is truly priceless and gave me the ability to continue in my path with the medicines. I am forever grateful to them as brothers whose hearts and dedication to the path were apparent throughout. Graemo and Gonzalo are true and serious healers. Their knowledge, compassion and confidence in maintaining a powerful and safe space made me feel that I was in the best hands. The ceremonies themselves were nothing short of magical. The icaros, the fire, the maloka, the medicines, our brothers who were in constant service will stay with me for the rest of my life.
A review without referencing our meals, the retreat home and most importantly the entire ECA family and children would not be complete. The family are so beautiful and generous. I count it as a true blessing that I was able to share in their joy and love for our lives (shoutout Julie, Angie, Lori, Suzi, Jue, Ayni, Danielle, Elli, Mark and my best friends Ameyali and Jai). The food was the healthiest and most delicious I had in Colombia (I was there for over 6 months) – thank you Elli. The house is an incredible place to rest in in between ceremonies. The groups I was a part of are my brothers and sisters for life and to have experienced that bond in such a short space of time was a true gift.
For those who are deciding whether they should take that extra step, if you’ve been lead to ECA, you can count yourselves as truly lucky. The work you do here is extremely serious and likely to be the most difficult spiritually speaking but believe me when I say each morning after ceremony I would feel incredible in knowing that I had possibly achieved a lifetime’s work in one night. I trust these brothers with my life and only hope that one day I can also be of service to others with the same dedication and love. I have gone on to drink medicine elsewhere but I can confidently say that my experience with ECA was fundamental to my healing and gifted me so much more than what I set out for. It has rekindled my connection to the great spirit, mother nature, the elements and this beautiful but arduous path that is the commitment to live my best life.

Everything about the ECA made me feel from the start that it would be a genuine and positive space in which to do a retreat and they’ve surpassed my expectations.
Looking at the website gave me a sense of security and also interest in being a part of this community because of how detailed and clear it is. The pre-retreat interview was thorough and I had no sense whatsoever that I was being sold into anything, in fact I felt that the facilitators really had my best interest in mind and asked important questions to help understand where I was coming from and what my intentions were.
Upon meeting Hans, Jesse and Bobby, I pretty quickly felt that they were trustworthy and genuine individuals which is rare for me personally to trust so quickly. By the end of the retreat I felt that if there was anyone I could imagine that’s really cut out for this work and whom I would want to be helping me through this process, these three individuals embody that perfectly.
I felt that the healers, Gonzalo and Greison, were coming from a place of care and humbleness. They were focused and sincere when they needed to be but also showed themselves to be lighthearted and joking at appropriate times. I believed I was in good hands with these two throughout the retreat and trust that the medicines were of high quality, well cared for and prepared with real intention.
The property itself is absolutely beautiful, conveniently located on the side of a mountain slope with an impressive view of Medellin and the valley below. The room I stayed in was private and comfortable. The food was healthy and delicious! There was always plenty of food available (but not right before ceremony) and it was nourishing as well.
I feel very grateful and fortunate to have met these guys and to have done my retreat here. I hope they’re able to continue doing this work for years to come.
