The Eagle Condor Alliance offers 10 Day Sacred Medicine Retreats in the mountains outside of Medellin, Colombia. Our next retreat dates are June 23rd – July 2nd.
Participants stay in comfortable glamping, camping, and shared cabin accommodations while experiencing traditional Ayahuasca (Yagé), San Pedro Cactus, Peyote and Temazcal (Inipi) ceremonies.
At Eagle Condor Alliance, our central mission is to spread consciousness, awareness and love by being the bridge between our participants and the ancient traditions and sacred medicines of the Americas. We are ultimately concerned with supporting the elders of these traditions and with conserving the forests of Colombia where these medicines, traditions, and wisdoms are found.
Healing With All of the Sacred Medicines
We offer the sacred plants of the Americas in one powerful and rejuvenating 10 day retreat. Ayahuasca, San Pedro, and Lakota Sioux inipi (sweat lodge) ceremonies each have their own unique spirit, tradition, and way of showing us to ourselves. We believe that using these plants together in guided contexts creates the most profound and curative spiritual experience.
Intensive Plant Medicine Immersion Experience
The demanding itinerary of ECA retreats requires that participants approach the medicine with respect, reverence and strength. These medicines lead us to confront both the beauty and darkness in each of us, and will power is needed to maintain consistent focus on our transformative internal process during the retreat.
Our Commitment to the Individual
Each participant comes with his or her own past experiences, health concerns, goals, ambitions, medical history, and intentions for the retreat. At ECA, we have small retreat groups. The group is cared for by 3 group facilitators and 2 experienced healers who are committed to creating bonds of trust and compassion that form the foundation for the healing processes of participants.
Experienced Healers and The Purest Medicine
ECA’s healers have been finding, harvesting, and preparing their own medicines to the benefit of their respective communities for over 40 years. They offer these gifts from Mother Earth in their purest forms. ECA’s medicines are never altered or mixed with other substances or plants. They are provided with respect and love in traditional ceremonies from the Cofán community of the Amazon, the Lakota-Sioux of North America, and the traditional Andean peoples.
The Setting – Colombia’s Natural Beauty
The retreat centre is located at an altitude of 2300m surrounded by dense Andean sub tropical rain forest, spectacular views of the valley, pristine drinking water, your own private river, hiking, wildlife, and comfortable glamping and camping options
Comfort and Rejuvenation
Comfort is a crucial element in this reviving and re-energizing experience, and it’s typically forgotten by most other retreat centers. Participants at ECA retreats: sleep in comfortable, soft beds, take hot showers, eat delicious, healthy cuisine, drink fresh mountain water, walk outside without being devoured by insects, and are given ample alone time for reflection and self-examination. The mild climate also helps us rest.
Convenience and Price
Fly direct into Medellin’s international airport for a fraction of what it costs to get to Cusco, Leticia, Iquitos or other locations, and arrive at the retreat center in under 30 minutes via our private transport. No special vaccinations or injections required. We provide all food, housing, and on the ground transport in order to make our retreat relaxing and hassle free.

March 8, 2018 at 4:01 pmI will start by saying that as someone who was born in Colombia, who was lightly familiar with some of the rich ancestry linked to the concept at the base of this type of healing, I had specific and high expectations of this experience. I also have dealt with some difficult challenges in life and wanted to make sure that this was the right choice, so I was ready to remain skeptical for as long as needed. But now I can confidently say that not only those expectations were met, but they were also clearly surpassed. The medicines are challenging and powerful, and for that reason I know this is the right place to experience them. The main requirement that I had when choosing a place to take these medicines was a clear sense of safety, and this is a quality that I felt was always at the base of every activity during this ten day journey. The beautiful, thoughtful, and generous individuals behind ECA, were truly there for me and for everyone else during our retreat; and the taitas (or shamans) are not only knowledgeable, but also responsible with the way in which they use the medicines and treat their guests. I can’t say enough positive things about my experience with ECA. I left with my heart full of love, a more balanced body, and with my mind and soul ready to continue evolving in a brighter direction. And of course, with many new friends that I look forward to seeing again. Did I mention they also have some amazing-delicious, fresh Colombian food? The people, the location, the food, the gatherings around the fire, the teachings, the discovery, the personal journey… so many positive things to write about this experience, so it’s a 10 out 10!

February 28, 2018 at 3:11 pmI attended the retreat in November 2017. Before committing to ECA, I read all the raving reviews on the website, and I have to say they are all true!
I will add some things here that might have not been said so often.
First of all the setting of the retreat in the mountains above Medellin is absolutely beautiful and magnificent. The main house has a great vibe and serves as a meeting point and hang out for all the participants. It’s a great way to connect to people from all around the world while eating delicious and healthy food.
The retreat starts with an herbal bath. You get a bucket with hot water which has been boiling with herbs over an open fire outside the main house. You go to a spot overlooking Medellin where you strip down naked and pour this great smelling green brew over your body which is the best bath I ever had.
I had never done any yahe or san pedro ceremony so for me it was very important that somebody was there to explain and answer a lot of questions. Bobby and Jesse are really two of the nicest and most caring human beings I have ever met. They will explain in great detail everything you need or want to know about the ceremonies. I can’t stress enough how important it is to have two angels like Jesse and Bobby on your side who not only introduce you to a new chapter in your life but also guide you step-by-step through the process. They are literally there to hold your hand and will do whatever it takes so you have the best experience possible.
Besides the medicine being superb and strong you will meet two amazing, responsible and wise healers and listen to the most wonderful music during and after the ceremonies.
If you want to experience this plant medicine in a loving and safe place then you should join the ECA family.

February 22, 2018 at 2:38 pmThis a no-nonse healing.
If you are looking for a place to really sit down with yourself and face your issues, this is the place to do that. There is no “commom” distractions of other retriets and gatherings, just focusing on the medicines and the process. I liked that a lot, gave me space to really go deep within myself and just be with what was there.
I had so unbelievable profound experiences, I still have hard time comprehending all the teachings. Everyday I understand more, the connection with the medicine is strong. I am not saying this is an easy path but well worth everything that comes with it.
The curanderos and the facilitators..what can I say? I have no words. The amount of effort, love and dedication they put into this is overwhelming. As is my gratitude.
Thank you ECA, I hope I will return one day. I felt like I was home with you.

February 18, 2018 at 6:22 pmThis review is long overdue.
I took the medicine for the first time ever with ECA this past September. I went alone and did the camping option. What a beautiful group of people from all over the globe formed for those beautiful 10 days. There were about 12 of us total.
I am still processing the teachings of the medicine. Every now and then I get down on myself and life gets tough again. The medicine and it’s teachings have been very supportive recently. Brings tears to my eyes thinking about how blessed I really am. One of the ECA members said it best “The medicine is for everyone, but not everyone is for the medicine.” (I grew up in Watts/Compton CA)
I feel so blessed to have experienced this healing/cleansing/spiritual awakening whatever you want to call it.
My life has been getting significantly better in many areas of my life. By far the best investment I’ve ever made.
You won’t find a better group of people who will make you feel extremely comfortable.
Tips for people considering ECA.
Do it
You probably know enough about the medicine, sometimes less is better.
Let go of any expectations.
Trust the medicine.
Let go of the control.
Breathe.
Love you ECA thank you! Forever grateful.

February 16, 2018 at 11:14 amA few months ago I found myself on this website reading reviews about Eagle Condor Alliance.
Now, here I am, writing my own review.
The ECA experience is a unique and personal undertaking. Before committing to the experience I was skeptical about the benefits of plant medicine and the intentions of the retreat administrators…Why would a bunch of white guys want to spend their time in mountains of Colombia feeding people this strange concoction of voodoo magic?
Coming from a traditional western education and value system I was doubtful, nervous, and more than a little uncertain about spending ten days ingesting potentially toxic substances.
As the retreat enfolded all of my fears vanished and I knew that I was in the right place with the right people.
The ECA family is a dedicated group of amazing people—decidedly committed to sharing the traditions of plant medicine with the broader community in a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment.
A few words to describe the guys at ECA: authentic, empathetic, connected, experienced…These guys are amazing and I would recommend anyone from my family or friends to attend a retreat under the care and guidance of the ECA family.
If you’re having second thoughts about attending a retreat take my advice and go for it. It’s hard work but it’s rewarding.
