April 19, 2022 at 12:23 amI really cannot recommend Hayulima enough. Sitting in ceremony I found my way back to myself. I continue to go back here because each time I do, I deepen and make more harmonious my relationship with myself, The Creator, and the rest of creation. The land here is absolutely beautiful, the birds, wildlife, and flowers here are really great medicine in and of themselves. There is pristine water flowing right down the mountain clean enough to drink. The family here is so loving, sincere, and compassionate in the way they hold space during ceremony. I feel grateful to have medicine with people who carry the ceremony, and themselves, with such peace, joy, and lightness. I really treasure spending time with everyone here. Meeting the family of Hayulima has drastically altered the direction of my life and my vibration in the best of ways. I’m already excited to go back 🙂

April 16, 2022 at 7:05 pmThe center is beautiful and the family is absolutely wonderful. This is a much more personal experience than you will find at most centers. The shamanic family personally look out for you, talk to you about your intentions, and guide you every step of the way. The medicine is profoundly powerful and the land is magical. I love this place and these people.

April 4, 2022 at 2:41 pmI had the pleasure of visiting Hayulima Spiritual Sanctuary for the full February 2022 retreat, and I can honestly tell you I’m already planning a return visit for next year. What an incredibly valuable and life-altering experience! I feel that my written and verbal explanations of this place are far from able to do it the justice it deserves, but I’ll do my best… As I said, I’m definitely very eager for my return and I would HIGHLY recommend Hayulima Spiritual Sanctuary to everyone. First off, the land is beyond magical and serene, tucked away on a huge expanse of gorgeous, green land in the cloud/rain forest of Mindo. Everywhere you look is really breathtaking and a perfect reminder of how astounding nature is at its finest. The biodiversity of both the flora and fauna is just incredible.
From the time you arrive you feel so welcome and so much love from the Hayulima family & community. I always felt very supported throughout the entire experience, whether it was during a ceremony or just anytime while there. It was really special to be able to form such a close companionship with the shamans and their families and was just a beautiful thing to be a part of. Salvador, Amalia, Pauli and Diana are all so supportive, talented and knowledgeable, yet all incredibly humble and genuinely sincere. It means a lot to me that they all keep in touch as well. I also love the 3 wonderful and adorable dogs that live at Hayulima!
One thing I really loved was the smaller size of the retreat as it really allowed for a close-knit and intimate feeling, allowing us all to get to know each other and for everyone to feel included and supported. The ceremonies were deeply touching and just left a magical mark on your heart and spirit. My eyes, mind and heart were drastically opened and it’s just mind-blowing what these sacred plant medicines can allow you to see and feel. A lesser important detail, but the food was so healthy and delicious, making you feel so good and nourished.
I could go on and on, but as I said, I could not even begin to do this experience proper justice and I just wish for everyone to someday be able to visit Hayulima

March 28, 2022 at 10:49 amIn a cloud forest on beautifully worked grounds where birds, flowers and butterflies abound, holds the Hayulima sanctuary. My time there was magical. The accommodations, delicious meals, and staff were just perfect.
Most of all though, the Hayulima family shared their medicines, wisdom and musicianship during the ceremonies in such a giving and safe fashion. The spiritual growth, healing and familial connection I experienced at Hayulima have transformed my life. Thank you!
