September 28, 2022 at 4:56 amMy favorite center by far. Truly a family with so much love and balance and joy. They want to help from such a deep place that’s so incredibly inspirational. I’m so grateful for my time here and consider this my go-to

August 27, 2022 at 11:48 amThere are so many places where one can drink plant medicines these days- it can be hard to decide where to go. So, why Hayulima?
This is not a retreat facility, you will be in a very small group, supported by a family. The medicine ( the brew, the space, the family) will be gentle, but FIRM. This family is not playing around with your money, like some centers will- they are doing the work right beside you- and in doing so, they will add energy to your work. This is a group effort and you will walk away amazed at what humans can accomplish in such a small amount of time. A truly beautiful, human experience that will take you through the entire range of what our emotions are capable of- Hayulima is the place to be.
Gracias Amalia, Salvador, Paulina, Fernanda, Matias, Diana, and all who support everyone who comes to your home for the extra courage we need to face the world.

July 10, 2022 at 5:57 pmThe family at Hayulima is the best. Such humility, integrity, and love in every detail. I have been drinking medicine with this family for over five years, from the time that they worked in another retreat center to today, when they have been able to build their own center, totally in line with their way of life. The family considers the center their home, as they live on site with their children. As Salvador says, this is not a business, this is a way of life. By coming, you are joining this family.
I have drank medicine with both of my elderly parents and brought many friends. Recently, I attended a retreat with my 8-month old daughter. The family helped me with childcare and both of us felt utterly safe and supported. I would recommend this place to anyone. It is beautiful.

June 18, 2022 at 9:44 pmA word that represents my experience at Hayulima is “embrace”. I felt this way from the moment of arrival when my friends and I were welcomed like family. This embrace can be felt in the food, the ceremonies and the land. There is no way to quite fully put it into words so I hope that if you have made it this far in your curiosity you take the next step to make this experience a reality!
There are many beautiful locations on this site and what makes this one stand so unique is the family that is waiting to meet you with that warm embrace just the same. Enjoy and good luck

April 20, 2022 at 6:30 pmHayulima is truly a magical, high vibration place full of possibilities. It is an authentic and safe space to experience healing, growth, and transformation with sacred plant medicines carried by experienced shamans with deep integrity. From the sacred fire, to the beautiful songs, to the intimate ceremonies — everything is done with such intention and care.
The mountains there in the cloud forest are so ALIVE, you feel embraced by Mother Earth from the moment you arrive. Having the experience of getting to know and personally connect with the people serving the medicine is a blessing. You are visiting their home and living among them during your stay, and it is truly a sanctuary where you can feel completely supported to do the work you need to do with yourself.
The food (mostly vegetarian, but they do serve meat sometimes) is wonderful and nourishing, and the medicine is powerful. I have healed so much in myself by working with this family in this tradition. Getting to know them over the last few years changed my life and inspired me to be in service. And it’s not just because they are masters at sharing beautiful medicine, but because they ARE the medicine. Their gentleness and compassion has shown me so much about how I want to live my own life and walk my own medicine path. There are a lot of people serving medicine, but not as many walking the spiritual path in their own lives. I love this place and this family, and I am so excited for what they are building together at Hayulima.
