Our mission is to provide a safe, honest and sincere space for people of all walks of life to come and heal. We believe in the combined power of plant medicine, community and emotional vulnerability. These key elements are the fertile soil for beautiful transformation to occur in our lives!

Maharani Medicine  first opened its doors in 2018– since then, we have served at over 110 retreats. We are proud to be a culturally diverse hub for seekers of all kinds. We are honored to be of service to anyone with a desire to grow, learn and heal regardless of background, age or creed.

Here are some things that set us apart from other groups:

  • Our groups are ALWAYS intimate & small. We will never serve a group larger than ten people. This fosters a sense of community between participants & staff, creating a safe, familial atmosphere.
  • We keep a supportive staff-to-participant ratio so we can all feel fully supported in this intense journey. We strive to have 3-4 facilitators on board in addition to our Medicine Woman. Our team members are humble volunteers with ample personal experience with plant medicine. Each facilitator brings their own unique abilities to retreats.
  • Our medicine is brewed “in house”, sourcing high quality materials from sustainable sources from Central America. We brew one jar at a time, prepped especially for each upcoming retreat.
  • We place a strong emphasis on Integration. Integration means applying the lessons learned during ceremony to everyday life. Integration is what separates recreational use of medicines from ceremonial & intentional use! It is very important we honor ourselves and our medicines in this way. We offer multiple integration circles during the weekend and also provide supportive resources for our participants when they go home.
  • Our Guides have been blessed with immense musical gifts that activate and amplify our Medicine. Most specifically, our participants often laud their technique at moving the energies as integral to their experience. Many Plant Medicine traditions suggest that music is the vessel which carries the ceremonial energy. The music harmonizes with the medicine and serves as a “Lighthouse” that helps each participant navigate their internal shadows & light alike. The music serves as a compass to bring us back our hearts. Whether it be the mysterious sound of the steel drum, the call of the flute or powerful icaros (medicine songs), we are confident these voices will sing you home.
  • We are officially non-profit & church. Spirituality is very important to us, but we will never be dogmatic in our beliefs. While our ceremonies are spiritually based, they are very universalist as well. Folks with secular beliefs will not have issues connecting to the ceremony experience.
  • Above all else, we strive to “keep it real”. It can feel extremely overwhelming to find the right practitioner, modality or healing space when we live in such a fast-paced world. We are happy to provide a simple, organic and humble space where you can just be yourself. We believe that everyone is a student in this space— we are all learning from one another at all times! We hope you will join us in this incredible opportunity to unravel & remember who we truly are.

Our Retreats are for you if…

  • You are looking for a retreat that is not overwhelming in size.
  • You are seeking a supportive community to connect with in the long-term– Whether it be for integration, friendship, spirituality or medicinal purposes!
  • You are unable to travel to South America or commit to a longer term retreat.
  • You are ready to commit to four weeks of Dieta- the physical and mental cleansing that prepares us for ceremony.
  • You feel a profound urge to become a better human, work on trauma, process challenging emotions, foster a deeper connection with Nature or expand your relationship with Spirit/Source/The Universe.

We are a “mobile ministry”. This means that we split our time between Upstate New York and the high desert of Arizona. We feel the call to be in service to both sides of this country. We also hope to someday soon travel to other states and offer our retreats in more locations.

In Arizona, we are hosted by community members on their properties. For our New York offerings, we have a beautiful property in the woods that we hold our retreats in. Because we host small retreats, we don’t have the need to have a large retreat center. This means that our accommodations are humble and communally shared.

Please message us if you’d like more information about our retreats or upcoming schedule. We are always available to talk about this work if you have any questions. Thanks so much for reading and many blessings!

Vision Statement

Our vision is to become compassionate, pure, healthy, and unconditionally loving people. Through prayer, meditation and the foundational support of our ancestors and their medicines, we humbly walk this path.

In a world shrouded by illusion, our Medicine bursts through the shadows as a shining light. We call upon the guidance of our sacred plant teachers to shed hardened layers around our heart built by the suffering we have endured.

Through dance and song, we shatter resistance keeping us from a righteous and all pervading Spiritual Relationship with life. Our ancient Amazonian Medicine combined with communal celebration yields profound healing for our selves and the entire planet.

We strongly believe in the Great Spirit that dwells within all living beings. This Spirit is alive, deeply caring and calling us home to the Present Moment. We embrace all religions and creeds. All roads lead to the same One, loving and ever-present Being.

Our Mission is to provide a sacred container, as well as education and support for those who are called to Plant Medicine. Ceremony is a state of mind that can embraced every single moment of our lives. We seek to help others cultivate this way of being through integrating spiritual experience.

We also believe that human connection is a powerful gateway to the soul. Maharani Medicine offers a community space for all people to share and grow.

We honor ourselves by truly integrating our Plant Medicine journeys. In choosing to remember Love on the daily, we help the world heal. It is our prayer that we can support people, whether they are preparing for ceremony, sitting in ceremony or integrating afterward. We want every person we meet to thrive and find great internal success. We invite you to join us!

My partner and I loved everything about our experience with Eliana and Austin regarding their ayahuasca medicine circle. They were attentive, responsive to shifting needs, compassionate, and generous with their time, understanding, talent and wisdom.

It was our first time partaking in a medicine circle and we discovered that Grandmother Ayahuasca can work in strange and unpredictable ways. Besides Eliana and Austin, we also had 4 assistant facilitators who were as gifted with empathy and compassion and love and understanding as were our two hosts.

My trip was intense, and I was carried by the wonderful music that was either from a fantastic playlist or composed and sung and strummed on guitar by Eliana and/or Austin.

The accommodations are fantastic, the grounds feel sacred, the food plentiful. It was easy to be alone in contemplation or just as easy to be joined in conversation with other travelers.

Don’t get me wrong. There can be some very intense moments, very painful moments, both physically and emotionally. All of our entire experience was worth every dollar, every minute, every inch closer to having a better emotional and spiritual integration into our bodies, into the body of the universe, into humanity.

I highly recommend Maharani Medicine Circle. In fact, my partner and I are going to book our second weekend with them soon. And if you happen to be present when their teacher Moses is facilitating, you will be blessed with the presence of a wonderful human being. I was impressed with the quality of people that Eliana and Austin attract as volunteers, as fellow travelers, as fellow seekers.

The time I spent at the Lighthouse is already among the most transformative and positive experiences of my life, and one that I strive to honor in my daily practices going forward.

A little background. I came to this experience initially at the invitation of an old friend, whom I would travel to spend time with. We had never undergone this type of experience, with this medicine, or with these types of facilitators before. But we were somewhat aware of the work that lay ahead. When invited by my friend to this retreat, I felt in my heart the call to say, “yes.”

My first contact was Austin, the affable, strong, and gentle guide who I discussed my intentions with over the phone. Put at ease by his calming voice and genuine curiosity about myself and my life, I felt much more comfortable venturing into this unknown space after speaking with him. Communicating with Austin continues to be a privilege and a lesson in what a healthy masculine role model can be like when men are truly connected to heart and spirit.

Austin was also the first to greet us when we arrived for our weekend. My friend and I entered this beautiful space and became familiar with all of our 8 courageous and connected participants, each of whom I am so proud of and continue to keep in my heart.

We soon met the other facilitators. Erin, Serenity, and Mitch each possess a unique sensitivity and awareness that radiates light and comfort. They were so crucial to my success at the Lighthouse in breaking through my ego and shadow and truly experiencing the beauty this medicine has to offer.

And then we met the Medicine Woman herself. Eliana is a hero, capable of calling the best out of any person she meets and containing the voice of an angel. To hear her sing, to truly be present with her gift of song, is a rare honor unto itself. (She’s also a big fan of Tool, and breaking the ice with her over our mutual fandom really put me at ease after my first night. Great taste makes great people, am I right?)

Everyone’s experience with the medicine, especially true of each of us in the Jaguar Tribe, is entirely unique to themself. To recount my entire experience here is something of a disservice to you, dear reader, who will approach the medicine with your own ego, your own shadow, and your own intentions.

But I can highlight for you a few things that meant the most to me and my success at the Lighthouse:

    1. The Facilitators. As named above, each and every one of these people are 100% committed to taking care of you. Whether it was a cup of water or a simple kind word, their love and support went a very long way for me making the most out of my experience. To sit with this medicine is an honor and a privilege, and who you have in your corner also very much matters. These people will be in my heart and my memory for life.

    2. Integration. What sets the Lighthouse apart from any other circle is their emphasis on integrating your experience with your life. From sitting in a circle and sharing our journeys one by one, to setting intentions for ourselves inside and outside the space, to continuing to stay in touch to help each other in our healing (a life’s work) – this is a tribe that cares deeply how you are doing and invites you to make the most of your life. These practices set the standard and the example for how I conduct myself after my retreat.

    3. Music. My first medicine, sometimes the best way I can communicate or feel understood by others. I won’t spoil any surprises, but the musical selections of the facilitators were very calming and at times an exciting change of pace. But the real treat was the live performances. To hear Eliana and Austin open their hearts through voice and guitar and harmonica (and Serenity with her singing bowl!) was for me, at minimum, a beautiful comfort during difficult moments. At best, even the exact same songs represented to me a celebration of life, this medicine, and each other. Singing along with them is another memory I get to treasure forever, and when I meditate I still feel the healing from that container.

Leaving the Lighthouse was bittersweet. My friend and I departed from that space with deep gratitude in our hearts. I was ready to carry with me only my memories and my commitments, but I am full of joy that the friends I made have stayed in touch. I do not have to walk this Path with Heart alone. And neither do you. No one does.

I am at one of the most hopeful moments of my life for having spent time there. I know how to love myself, how to validate myself, how to respect and honor myself in practice. I have a deep respect for this medicine. I also walked away with an enriched perspective on masculinity and femininity, with a renewed sense of compassion and respect for women, and men, and all human beings who walk this Earth just trying their absolute best.

I feel called to honor my time at the Lighthouse by being as good of a man as I can be. I strive now to embody humility, patience, empathy, tenderness, gratitude, prudence, and awareness with a firmer commitment than I ever had before. And I am just so thankful to everyone I met during my weekend. From the bottom of my heart, which is now wide open and I refuse to let it close, thank you so much.

    Peace and Love,

    JG

We had an unforgettable experience at the Lighthouse, guided by Austin and Elina. I attended with my 73-year-old father, who had never tried any substance, let alone Ayahuasca. Naturally, we were a bit anxious, but Austin's support from the start helped ease our concerns. We diligently followed the clear dietary and mental preparation guidelines provided for the three weeks leading up to the retreat.

Our group consisted of 10 participants and 5 facilitators. The first day was challenging for many of us, but the genuine care and love from the facilitators were palpable. Their support was essential in guiding us through the journey.

Day two began with integration time, where we shared our experiences and learned from one another. For me, this was the most valuable part of the entire journey. The second night's Ayahuasca experience was vastly different from the first—it was uplifting for most of us.

The secret ingredient, in my opinion, was the extraordinary quality of the music. Both Elina and Austin are incredibly talented, both musically and spiritually. By the time we completed the final integration on the third day, we all felt like a close-knit family. It was truly a privilege to share this once-in-a-lifetime experience with them, the other facilitators, and the participants.

Thank you, and much love. ❤️

I found Eliana & Austin through a close friend and yoga studio owner in my community. There was a group of us from Ohio who all attended the same yoga studio and desired to grow deeper in our lives. We decided to make the travel up to New York and I did not know what to expect. I had known that I wanted to partake in this beautiful medicine for a while but was apprehensive about traveling out of the country to do so. Eliana and Austin not only created a safe space to have respite (Sleep, warm showers, great space to cook/eat) but also beautiful outdoors walking and trails to find some down time outside of ceremony hours. The actual ceremony was such a profound experience and they held an incredibly safe space and curated and unforgettable experience. The other facilitator’s on site during ceremony had a profound impact on my experience by there support and trauma informed approach to caring for those who are having moments of struggle. From start to finish the entire weekend was organized, clean, safe, and unforgettable. For those looking to step out into this medicine but do not want to venture outside the U.S… this is for you! I look forward to going back. Eliana and Austin make themselves available in the weeks leading up to ceremony, during, and after. They’re happy to support and answer any questions you may have.
Thank you all for opening your beautiful retreat space to assist the world in healing. Your light & love was a beacon and you all are wonderful examples of true leadership.

    Thank you!
