To become a butterfly, the caterpillar should give up its previous form. After that, it becomes something new, while it keeps all the good it has a caterpillar. Our retreat center is doing the same. ๐ฆ

August 31, 2025 at 9:05 pmThere truly are no words to express just how special Lighthouse is. Where to even begin. The team emanate kindness and love and make you feel part of the family from the minute you arrive. I was incredibly nervous about embarking on this experience but the minute I arrived I felt in such safe, nurturing, kind, knowledgeable hands. They care deeply about each and every person and their healing journey and nothing is too much trouble. The shaman was incredible with such a strong connection with the medicine having learnt from his famous shaman father from a young age, his Icaros were beautiful and it was amazing to be able to speak with him after every ceremony to decode the experience. The schedule is perfectly curated with rest days in between ceremonies. The food is delicious and fresh and served in the beautiful dining room overlooking the Amazon river. You feel like you are in a treetop jungle paradise at lighthouse, the accommodations are lovely and everything you need and the land is so well kept. I loved the hikes into the jungle to learn about the different trees, plant life and wildlife. What I particularly loved is that the Maestro incorporates extracts from some of the master healer trees that are known for their protective energies into the medicine. Seeing the Aya vine just a short walk from the lodge was amazing. The medicine gave me everything I hoped for and more, so much healing and so much clarity. I chose Lighthouse because the groups are maximum of 8 and with this you get so much 1:1 time with the team and are cared for so well during the ceremony. I will be forever grateful to the Lighthouse family (including the friendliest dogs and cats you could ever meet), my wonderful group who now feel like family and Mama Aya for all they have given me, without a doubt the best week of my life and I am so glad I chose Lighthouse. If you are considering Lighthouse I promise you will not regret it, it will be the greatest gift to you will ever give yourself!

August 20, 2025 at 3:18 pmA home in the jungle that shows unconditional positive regard towards the humans that come to stay with them. Clean, convenient, and genuine intentions are what come to mind. I wouldn’t have asked for a better crew to aid me in this journey of mine. They speak english and spanish well. Barely had any mosquito bites due to well treated mosquito nets around the rooms and common areas. Very knowledgeable about the journey, the river, and the jungle. Thank you to Maestro, Jino, Lady, Cristian, Joy, Lenny, Anita (and our other cook whose name I am forgetting), and those who were working on Lighthouse construction to make improvements. I feel incredible grateful and honored to have spent 6 days there. I have no doubt I will be back in the future.

July 7, 2025 at 10:23 amI was really worried about going to an unknown country. To a scary rainforest. To take an unknown medicine. However, my faith allowed me to benefit from the most amazing retreat. It’s like a hospital that actually wants to heal people. The staff are top tier, and the medicine is legit. You are in safe, loving hands from the beginning to the end. Highly recommended in all aspects. One piece of advice is to prepare for your wellness by taking your mental, physical, and spiritual health serious before committing to this experience. You have to be tired of being sick from the pollution of the world to get the wholeness you deserve. I’m beyond and forever grateful to lighthouse and ayahuasca!

June 19, 2025 at 9:53 amMy husband and I have been talking for a few years about doing a retreat. I started researching late last year. Lighthouse stood out for it’s small, maximum group size of 8 and great reviews. We had corresponded with several of the retreats and this one felt right.
Our expreience began several months before our May retreat, with each of us having a one hour call with Ivan to talk about expectations, motivation and intentions, He provided a good understanding of how the week would flow and made me feel very comfortable in choosing this retreat. He gave excellent pre-retreat information and was always quick to repond to our follow-up questions.
It’s difficult to articulate the love and compassion that the team(family) at Lighthouse emanate, from the first introductions at the boat dock with Jino and Lady, to the greeting from Christian when we arrived at the retreat location, to the profound experience in the ceremonies with the reverant Maestro, to the final goodbyes. Every person on the team was dedicated to your journey and growth. Their respect for communion with the nature that sustains them is evident in how they live…for them, this is a calling and not a job. I felt so safe and supported. The experience was profound and I would highly recommend them. Many in our group are already talking about doing it again in the future.

June 5, 2025 at 5:58 pmI attended the Lighthouse! Ayahuasca retreat for 2 weeks. It was amazing, not only for the medicine, but the physical environment, โstaffโ, and participants. The medicine, Mama Aya, was so strategic with me and knew exactly how to help me overcome my own entrenched barriers; she didnโt give me more than I could handle. I am one week out and working on integration, still learning and feeling. Beautiful. I loved my room, the food, and animals!!! Dogs and cats were so sweet; I absolutely loved Segundo and felt loved by all the 4-legged friends there. The environment contributed to such peace. AND we visited the neighboring village, swam in an Amazon tributary, and explored the forest, including seeing the liana Ayauasca, in her natural environment. The โstaffโ quickly became friends and family. They all have and demonstrate so much caring and love. Sometimes we, the retreat attendees, struggled with the food or accommodations or schedule, and, generally, there was never an outright โnoโ, rather a โI will seeโ or โwe will try our bestโ. Maestro Jairo, Jino, Lady Diana, Christian, Yoko, Leo, and everyone else are so dedicated and amazing; they help countless numbers of people looking for healing, clarity, and connection. They are all so gifted and oozing with kindness; itโs difficult to imagine their dedication and the depth of their caring. I am forever grateful and will never forget them. I was with 2 different groups of participants, one set for each week. The dynamics were so different between group, but the relationships we forged via our ayahuasca experiences, conversations, and shared truths, realizations, venerabilities, and revelations were pricelessโฆpriceless. My experience with ayahuasca wasnโt an epiphany, but it was profound, clarifying, and continues to call for work, a call I am more than happy to answer. Thank you to the Lighthouse for showing so many so much light.
