The Eagle Condor Alliance offers 10 Day Sacred Medicine Retreats in the mountains outside of Medellin, Colombia. Our next retreat dates are June 23rd – July 2nd.
Participants stay in comfortable glamping, camping, and shared cabin accommodations while experiencing traditional Ayahuasca (Yagé), San Pedro Cactus, Peyote and Temazcal (Inipi) ceremonies.
At Eagle Condor Alliance, our central mission is to spread consciousness, awareness and love by being the bridge between our participants and the ancient traditions and sacred medicines of the Americas. We are ultimately concerned with supporting the elders of these traditions and with conserving the forests of Colombia where these medicines, traditions, and wisdoms are found.
Healing With All of the Sacred Medicines
We offer the sacred plants of the Americas in one powerful and rejuvenating 10 day retreat. Ayahuasca, San Pedro, and Lakota Sioux inipi (sweat lodge) ceremonies each have their own unique spirit, tradition, and way of showing us to ourselves. We believe that using these plants together in guided contexts creates the most profound and curative spiritual experience.
Intensive Plant Medicine Immersion Experience
The demanding itinerary of ECA retreats requires that participants approach the medicine with respect, reverence and strength. These medicines lead us to confront both the beauty and darkness in each of us, and will power is needed to maintain consistent focus on our transformative internal process during the retreat.
Our Commitment to the Individual
Each participant comes with his or her own past experiences, health concerns, goals, ambitions, medical history, and intentions for the retreat. At ECA, we have small retreat groups. The group is cared for by 3 group facilitators and 2 experienced healers who are committed to creating bonds of trust and compassion that form the foundation for the healing processes of participants.
Experienced Healers and The Purest Medicine
ECA’s healers have been finding, harvesting, and preparing their own medicines to the benefit of their respective communities for over 40 years. They offer these gifts from Mother Earth in their purest forms. ECA’s medicines are never altered or mixed with other substances or plants. They are provided with respect and love in traditional ceremonies from the Cofán community of the Amazon, the Lakota-Sioux of North America, and the traditional Andean peoples.
The Setting – Colombia’s Natural Beauty
The retreat centre is located at an altitude of 2300m surrounded by dense Andean sub tropical rain forest, spectacular views of the valley, pristine drinking water, your own private river, hiking, wildlife, and comfortable glamping and camping options
Comfort and Rejuvenation
Comfort is a crucial element in this reviving and re-energizing experience, and it’s typically forgotten by most other retreat centers. Participants at ECA retreats: sleep in comfortable, soft beds, take hot showers, eat delicious, healthy cuisine, drink fresh mountain water, walk outside without being devoured by insects, and are given ample alone time for reflection and self-examination. The mild climate also helps us rest.
Convenience and Price
Fly direct into Medellin’s international airport for a fraction of what it costs to get to Cusco, Leticia, Iquitos or other locations, and arrive at the retreat center in under 30 minutes via our private transport. No special vaccinations or injections required. We provide all food, housing, and on the ground transport in order to make our retreat relaxing and hassle free.

February 21, 2017 at 7:52 pmWow. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. I’ve encountered medicines in Iquitos, Peru and in Costa Rica. I went in with low expectations as I try to do of almost any experience and was blown away. Had I gone in with high expectations, I still would have been blown away. The facilitators, Jesse, Hans and Bobby, all treated me as if I were family. They did a great job of supporting me and others where they support was needed during and outside of the ceremony. They guided the group as a family. There was very little drama throughout the retreat and I think this is in large part due to their direction.
I appreciated that I felt comfortable either keeping my experience internal as well as opening up to the group when I felt like doing so.
I camped and this was a great way to save money. If you are comfortable camping, I highly recommend it. While camping, I still felt that I had everything that I needed and the tent stayed dry throughout multiple rains. I also had the ability to nap in a beautiful sun room and even slept in there 1 evening. There were also hammocks that were great to nap in outside during the day in either the sun or the shade.
The retreat outline, starting with San Pedro/Wachuma and Sweat Lodge/Temazcal continuing with 2 Yagé evening sessions, a Yagé day session and ending with San Pedro/Wachuma and Sweat Lodge/Temezcal was a great formula. It had a strong progression throughout and came to a more clear resolution than I’ve experienced at retreats in the past. It seemed many of the other participants (some in their first experiences) had a similar positive progression. Words don’t do any of the experiences above justice. They were some of the stronger, more difficult, more positive and more insightful of the experiences I’ve had with medicine.
The Taitas/Healers, Greyson, Cesar and Gonzalo were very helpful and available throughout. I felt their genuine desire to help me and to impart a bit of the knowledge they’ve gained from their lifetime of experience with plant medicines. The dedication that they have to their respective plant medicines is awe inspiring and easily visible to any participant at Eagle Condor Alliance. I felt blessed to be in their presence and to learn from them and still felt able to interact, question and share with them.
The best food in Colombia! They have a chef named Eli. She is an amazing chef and works tirelessly to make sure everyone is fed very well. I always had enough to eat, regularly getting seconds and even at times third helpings of food. I never was bored of the food and no meal seemed the same over 10 days this was the icing on the cake to everything else at the retreat. There was also hot tea available and ready almost always.
Herbal baths – these were a regular part of our experience. These were heavenly.
Flora/Fauna – This place is a sanctuary in the mountains. Across the grounds are beautiful flowers, gardens, birds, butterflies. It’s a place I want to go back to just because it’s beautiful.
Maloca – they have a brand new one built in Dec. 2016. It’s beautiful and held many people efficiently and ceremony’s felt great in that space.
Weather – Beautiful during the days, sunny or cloudy. I found it a tad chilly at night and wished I would’ve had a hat and gloves or some thicker layers (probably not both). I’m pretty thin and generally run cold. You may not find it cold at all.
I could go on forever with this review and even in hindsight, with a lot of thinking, I can’t think of any way they could improve the experience. If you’re considering Eagle Condor Alliance, please do yourself a favor and go, preferably alone.

February 13, 2017 at 6:17 pmConnecting with the medicines is a very profound experience and every single one is extremely individual.
I was planning my first encounter with the medicine and therefore it was very important for me to find a place where I would feel safe and in good hands. I could not imagine just to go to a place without knowing anyone, I needed to gain trust before I would go.
The ECA family is taking time to talk to each interested person on skype. This establishes a basis of trust and both, the ECA family and the interested person have the chance to find out if they belong together.
This is just a short remark for people that might feel like me trying to find the right place for this profound journey. ECA is the RIGHT place for you!
From the very first moment there, during and even after the retreat my first impression of this place and the people was exceeded by far.
Healers, facilitators, cooks and friends are just words describing their dedication. But who they truly are is a big, wonderful & caring family. And they will treat you as a family member from the first moment on.
Apart from that, it is noteworthy that during the whole retreat Jesse, Bobby and Hans would accompany the participants during the day, before and after the ceremony. They have introduced us into the world of the sacred medicines, they have explained us the traditions and they gave us good advices. They were there as well for private talks if needed. And during the ceremonies they offered us the best imaginable care.
Not only their dedication is astonishing, but also Gonzalos and Greisons dedication. They dedicate their entire lifes to the sacred medicines, they dedicate their lifes to heal people and to heal the world.
A part of the revenues is used for land conversation in the Amazon rainforest and for the support of the indigenous community in the western Amazon.
The ECA family is not only helping us to understand how we can become a better person, they are the living example how to be a better person and feel gifted by giving.
My love and gratitude are infinite.
Aho Mitakuye Oyasin!
PS: The food is sooo good that this would be reason enough to go there!:)

January 4, 2017 at 6:27 pmMe and my friend travelled from Australia to take part in our first ayahuasca retreat. From the moment we arrived we felt very welcomed and safe. Hans and Bobby made sure we had everything we needed and took great care of us throughout the experience. The retreat is in a beautiful location in the mountains and the food was top notch. The ceremonies were very powerful and eye-opening experiences. We felt we were in good hands with both of the healers who facilitated the ceremonies. Overall it was an incredible experience that we wouldn’t think twice about doing again.

December 21, 2016 at 9:12 pmI arrived at the ECA in the October session.
My purpose in attending an Ayahuasca ceremony was to make my life purpose more clear. Which I will write more about down below.
But I just have to say… the experience was—incredible…
The synchronicity in my mind’s eye and how it perfectly connected with Bobby (One of the facillitators) offering me water.
The stories it told about Earth and myself.
The visions I saw that were not from this world.
The other-worldly sounds and senses.
The rythmn and flow of the Universe.
But wait, here’s the interesting part…
I don’t know how to explain it, but when I recall the memories I get a bolt of stimulation in my body. Like the magic is still with me.
The purging was frightening. But it showed me courage, when I was helped it showed me brotherhood. It showed me this world wasn’t as cold as I thought it was. It showed me the gratitude. It showed me the truth about life.
I’m glad I chose The ECA to be a part of my personal growth. My purpose is to help others, but I need to help myself first. The retreat really helped in understanding myself and my upcoming challenges. And it’s safe to say all the facillitators and shamans I met at the ECA are a great example of being in alignment with their purpose.
Besides… What’s the point of life with no purpose?

December 7, 2016 at 8:19 pmI was lucky enough to be able to go to the retreat for 10 days in August 2016.
Traveling in South America for a few months was some of the best times I had had but never really thought I would do something like this. Long story short I had a bunch of health problems that forced me to stop and think and take notice of my life.
Going by intuition after talking to Hans on skype and then meeting everyone at the retreat in Medellin in the mountains, its clear that the people of Eagle Condor Alliance that make this possible are genuinely good human beings that believe in what they are doing and take it very seriously with great respect. This is pretty humbling in its self for me as I had a selfish perspective of things.
I don`t want to get too heavy but I will say that I trust my life with the facilitators and plant medicine healers that worked with us at the retreat which is something you are grateful for coming out of the experience.
If I had the money I would of happily payed a lot more. Although I can`t really put a price on what I took away from this its the people that make it possible and help you get through things that can be pretty intense, share wisdom, knowledge and their own experience that make all the difference.
I wont say anything about my own experience with plant medicine and ceremonies other than you may not get what you want but will definitely get what you need..
