Best Ayahuasca Retreats in Europe (2025)

Ayahuasca retreats are fairly difficult to find in Europe, so we thought we’d compile this short list for you, to aid in choosing the ‘Best Ayahuasca Retreats in Europe’.

#1) Avalon in Barcelona, Spain

Avalon easily stands out as the highest-rated Ayahuasca retreat in Europe with a solid 5-star average rating out of 104 reviews at the time of this writing, which is a really impressive record!

In addition to Ayahuasca and San Pedro – which are common offerings by retreat centers – they also offer Magic Mushroom and Bufo Alvarius ceremonies. These are offered on different dates than the Ayahuasca and San Pedro ceremonies, so you may want to coordinate with them directly if you’re interested in multiple plant medicines.

On a side note, I once asked Mama Aya how people can know which plant medicine is right for them, and she said (roughly paraphrasing from my spotty memory) “Whichever one they are called to first. If in doubt, try them all.”

A theme that’s repeated throughout Avalon’s reviews is the emphasis on integration and how invaluable that has been to retreat participants there, which is very respectable.

So if an ayahuasca retreat in Europe is what you’re after, we highly recommend checking them out to see if the vibe is a good fit for you.

If not, here are some other options to choose from.

#2) Fito Sinfonia in Sevilla, Spain

A man is shown beating a animal-skin drumThese folks seem to be less of an ayahuasca retreat center and more of a personalized offering, and 21 people so far speak very highly of their time there (with a solid 5-star review average).

As all of the reviews were originally in Spain-Spanish before we translated them into English, this one seems to be aimed at folks who don’t speak English fluently, though the founder Luka is bilingual in English as well.

Some of the reviews mention being in the Sacred Valley in Peru though, so we can only assume that they sometimes travel to offer ceremonies in Peru as well.

Luka is very kind and authentic, and I have no doubt that if you reach out to him, you’ll pick up on that right away.

Still though, if this place isn’t a good fit for you, we have another option in Europe for you to consider…

#3) The Opah in Barcelona, Spain

This one seems very heartfelt and sincere, and several of the reviews seem very real and authentic.

So far, they also have a 5-star average out of 8 reviews, with their first review being about a year ago.

They seem to pride themselves on small groups, and surprisingly, they somehow speak English, French, Spanish, Polish, AND German! Impressive.

And they also offer private retreats, which is something that’s usually not logistically possible with bigger retreat centers.

If this place feels like the right fit for you and you decide to attend, please leave them a review to help establish their reputation better for anyone else who may be considering going there.

I hope this list has been helpful to you, but if you need any additional help in choosing a place to attend, please feel to reach out and let us know your criteria so that we can give you some other options outside of Europe.

All the best,
Tim G.
