An Ayahuasca medicinal plant healing center and Permaculture farm. We welcome you on your personal journey into the magical Amazon Rainforest, just outside Iquitos, Peru. It is our first priority to offer a safe, private, and sacred space tucked away on 60-acres of jungle property home to over 110+ documented medicinal plants.
Rainforest Healing Center is accessed at KM 45.5 on the “highway” that connects Iquitos and Nauta in the Loreto province of Peru. From there you take a three kilometer hike over rolling hills along a dirt (sometimes muddy) path to arrive at our entrance.

11 Day Retreat- Deeper Integration with the Vine
Our “Deeper Integration with the Vine” is a profound healing retreat where one will partake in 5 ceremonies and will be given ample time to process their journey with our highly trained facilitators and Shamans.
7 Day Retreat- Initiation to Shamanic Ayahuasca
Our ‘Initiation to Shamanistic Ayahuasca’ is a great way for one to start their healing journey that has never experienced any sacred medicinal plants. This would also be a great place to start for someone that has some apprehensions about engaging in shamanistic practices. The 7-day retreat will still be a strong for healing purposes with 3 powerful ceremonies.
Master Plant Isolation Diets
At Rainforest Healing Center, we have been offering Master Plant isolation diets (‘dietas’ in Spanish) since 2011, when we first opened our center. We currently offer three Master Plant diets: Ajo Sacha, Chiric Sanango, and Uchu Sanango. The decision to administer one of these diets is based on careful observation, discussion, and analysis by our Shaman and administrator. We take these diets very seriously and administer them within traditional rules and practice. Dieting a Master Plant is a spiritual rites of passage that is the next level of healing after having worked with Ayahuasca in group ceremonial settings.When the diet is initiated, one will go into isolation in their Tambo (jungle bungalow) for eight days with no contact with anyone except the Shaman administering the diet. The Mind, Body, and Spirit will go through an intense cleansing and reboot while opening new doors within the Self and the Spirit realm.
Kambo Practitioner Training
Kambo (also known as Sapo locally to Peruvians) is the venom from Phyllomedusa bicolor, the Amazonian giant monkey tree frog. This medicine is well known around Peru and Brazil as the “vaccine of the forest.” It is most easily understood as a detoxifying purgative, immune-boosting medicine, and a powerful treatment for chronic pain and drug dependency.

May 8, 2018 at 12:41 amJust completed the whole experience, well not completed as I feel it will go on for a long time, but the diet and life style before and after the retreat are complete.
I was welcomed by Christina the onsite facilitator of the RHC and immediately felt at home. Places and businesses are defined as success by the people who work there and this one is a success. Angelic is a word that comes to mind. I did a Master Plant Isolation Dieta and the experience was exactly that, an experience of spiritual and biological wonder and the results are incredible. I have released so much tension and feel so much better not to mention not having a single headache for two months now and was having them on a regular basis.
It is such a wonderful place to go, the jungle is such a leveler. It gives you the space but also keeps reminding you of the wonders that are there.
The shamans were delightful, caring and professional. Very dedicated to their work.
The whole experience is hard to put into words but it is an experience that everyone should experience at least once in their lives. It gave results and also poses more questions as well as centering and grounding your soul, all at the same time. Thanks so much all the lovely people involved. It is a truly special place!

May 1, 2018 at 1:57 pmYou are probably reading this review because you have decided to work with a vary powerful medicine and you know this will be a life changing experience so you want to make sure you are choosing the right place. I can almost read your mind …. will these guys rip me off, will the Shaman be a genuine curadero, will I be left alone to face it all…. Well you can stop searching now, you have found it! The RHC is a place were you will feel safe, looked after and loved ….. super loved. I did the 11 days retreat in March 2018 and these guys changed my life!
The shamans I worked with were absolutely amazing, very knowledgable, loving, approachable and at times very funny. The staff , from facilitators to the cook, amazing!!! loving, caring people to say the least. I miss you all and thank you again for all your help. Eddy, Cristina, Cody you have taught me so much and I can never thank you enough. The place itself is beautiful and super well looked after. Conservation is a number 1 priority. This is what made me love RHC even more.
One piece of advice, trust them and follow their instructions. They know what they are talking about and only want the best for you.

April 29, 2018 at 8:56 amChoosing to attend the Rainforest Healing Center has been one the greatest gifts I have ever given myself and also has been one of the most incredible experiences of my life. The healing center is located smack dab in the middle of the Peruvian Amazon Rainforest and is a sight to behold. The sights, the smells, the feelings of awe and oneness with nature are difficult to describe in words. The staff went above and beyond in working with us and helping us and guiding us through the process of working with plant medicine and working on ourselves. They treated us with some much kindness and compassion and love and truly gave themselves to us in order to facilitate our own healing. I am still in awe at the generosity and selflessness that my facilitators showed to me and the group.
The Healing center is aptly named and it truly has helped me in dealing with and coming to terms many issues that have plagued me my entire life such as issues with self love, fear and insecurity. It is a perfect and safe space to unplug from the modern world and go inside and do the deep cleaning work that is required if one wants to unburden themselves from the things that are no longer serving them in life. I could not recommend this healing center enough and I will forever be in deep gratitude to Omar, Eddie, the Shamans and the guests who truly helped me open my heart to the love and beauty that is in everyone of us and that surrounds us at all times.

February 9, 2018 at 12:10 amI highly recommend Chakra Alegria de Amor AKA the Rainforest Healing Center to my friends, to my family (parents, grandparents, you name it!!!), and – of course – to you! I attended an 11-day retreat, and every step of the process before, during, and after has led me closer to self and to source. After decades of suffering from C-PTSD, I learned to release ALL symptoms. No more panic attacks, night terrors, or avoidance behaviors… just a deep sense of self-acceptance, forgiveness, and safety. Oh – and community!!! The shaman and his apprentice check on my daily, the guests from my retreat cheer me on whenever I need support with integrating, and the administrators continue showing and sharing their love and support. Now, one week after my retreat, many people (coworkers, peers, and even strangers) tell me, “You look so happy!!” Though the joy is palpable, that was never the point. I just wanted to feel *human* – and, fortunately, that was exactly what I needed (all guests get what they need). This healing center will make sure that your body, mind, and spirit are loved and protected. You will have countless opportunities for practicing sustainability, respecting plants and animals, and compassionately witnessing yourself and others. Thanks to this healing center’s facilitators and plant medicines, I am proudly pursuing a heart-centered approach to life, and death, and everything in between .

November 5, 2017 at 11:50 pmI could write for hours about my experiences at this retreat and the shifts I’ve experienced in my life since my time there, but suffice to say that I am 100% a believer in the work they are doing at RHC.
I did a TON of research before committing to RHC, and my biggest point of concern in choosing the right retreat was that I was not looking for an ayahuasca/jungle adventure, but I was looking for a place where healing and fully immersing yourself in your inner work was of the highest priority. I was so lucky to have found exactly that place at RHC. The people there are AMAZING – they’re so grounded and loving, you will be hard pressed to find a place where you will be so supported and cared for during your retreat.
One of the things that really drew me to RHC is that they keep the groups small – there will never be more than 10 people at a single retreat. A lot of other places will have 20-30, which is INSANE. With the small groups you get a lot of individual attention from the facilitator and the shaman. Our facilitator Isadore is one of most incredible people I’ve ever met in my life – as loving and supportive as she is brilliant. With her support I was able to set my fears aside and surrender myself to the medicine.
Ceremony is treated with the highest reverence, and the medicine is stronger than I ever thought possible. A huge emphasis is put on setting a clear intention for every ceremony, and then processing your experiences the following day. This ensures that you get the absolute most out of your ceremonies and that you go home with much, much more than a couple good stories to tell. I went into the jungle with a healthy dose of fear and apprehension – I came out glowing with my heart wide open. This place is pure magic!
I am so thankful to the group down there for providing such a supportive environment – so much care and attention to detail has gone in to ensuring that we are best positioned to truly immerse ourselves in the great work. I am so happy I found them! I plan on returning every year for the foreseeable future. If you’re thinking that you may be ready to start your healing journey with ayahuasca then this is 100% the place to go!
