Our mission is to provide a safe, honest and sincere space for people of all walks of life to come and heal. We believe in the combined power of plant medicine, community and emotional vulnerability. These key elements are the fertile soil for beautiful transformation to occur in our lives!

Maharani Medicine  first opened its doors in 2018– since then, we have served at over 110 retreats. We are proud to be a culturally diverse hub for seekers of all kinds. We are honored to be of service to anyone with a desire to grow, learn and heal regardless of background, age or creed.

Here are some things that set us apart from other groups:

  • Our groups are ALWAYS intimate & small. We will never serve a group larger than ten people. This fosters a sense of community between participants & staff, creating a safe, familial atmosphere.
  • We keep a supportive staff-to-participant ratio so we can all feel fully supported in this intense journey. We strive to have 3-4 facilitators on board in addition to our Medicine Woman. Our team members are humble volunteers with ample personal experience with plant medicine. Each facilitator brings their own unique abilities to retreats.
  • Our medicine is brewed “in house”, sourcing high quality materials from sustainable sources from Central America. We brew one jar at a time, prepped especially for each upcoming retreat.
  • We place a strong emphasis on Integration. Integration means applying the lessons learned during ceremony to everyday life. Integration is what separates recreational use of medicines from ceremonial & intentional use! It is very important we honor ourselves and our medicines in this way. We offer multiple integration circles during the weekend and also provide supportive resources for our participants when they go home.
  • Our Guides have been blessed with immense musical gifts that activate and amplify our Medicine. Most specifically, our participants often laud their technique at moving the energies as integral to their experience. Many Plant Medicine traditions suggest that music is the vessel which carries the ceremonial energy. The music harmonizes with the medicine and serves as a “Lighthouse” that helps each participant navigate their internal shadows & light alike. The music serves as a compass to bring us back our hearts. Whether it be the mysterious sound of the steel drum, the call of the flute or powerful icaros (medicine songs), we are confident these voices will sing you home.
  • We are officially non-profit & church. Spirituality is very important to us, but we will never be dogmatic in our beliefs. While our ceremonies are spiritually based, they are very universalist as well. Folks with secular beliefs will not have issues connecting to the ceremony experience.
  • Above all else, we strive to “keep it real”. It can feel extremely overwhelming to find the right practitioner, modality or healing space when we live in such a fast-paced world. We are happy to provide a simple, organic and humble space where you can just be yourself. We believe that everyone is a student in this space— we are all learning from one another at all times! We hope you will join us in this incredible opportunity to unravel & remember who we truly are.

Our Retreats are for you if…

  • You are looking for a retreat that is not overwhelming in size.
  • You are seeking a supportive community to connect with in the long-term– Whether it be for integration, friendship, spirituality or medicinal purposes!
  • You are unable to travel to South America or commit to a longer term retreat.
  • You are ready to commit to four weeks of Dieta- the physical and mental cleansing that prepares us for ceremony.
  • You feel a profound urge to become a better human, work on trauma, process challenging emotions, foster a deeper connection with Nature or expand your relationship with Spirit/Source/The Universe.

We are a “mobile ministry”. This means that we split our time between Upstate New York and the high desert of Arizona. We feel the call to be in service to both sides of this country. We also hope to someday soon travel to other states and offer our retreats in more locations.

In Arizona, we are hosted by community members on their properties. For our New York offerings, we have a beautiful property in the woods that we hold our retreats in. Because we host small retreats, we don’t have the need to have a large retreat center. This means that our accommodations are humble and communally shared.

Please message us if you’d like more information about our retreats or upcoming schedule. We are always available to talk about this work if you have any questions. Thanks so much for reading and many blessings!

Vision Statement

Our vision is to become compassionate, pure, healthy, and unconditionally loving people. Through prayer, meditation and the foundational support of our ancestors and their medicines, we humbly walk this path.

In a world shrouded by illusion, our Medicine bursts through the shadows as a shining light. We call upon the guidance of our sacred plant teachers to shed hardened layers around our heart built by the suffering we have endured.

Through dance and song, we shatter resistance keeping us from a righteous and all pervading Spiritual Relationship with life. Our ancient Amazonian Medicine combined with communal celebration yields profound healing for our selves and the entire planet.

We strongly believe in the Great Spirit that dwells within all living beings. This Spirit is alive, deeply caring and calling us home to the Present Moment. We embrace all religions and creeds. All roads lead to the same One, loving and ever-present Being.

Our Mission is to provide a sacred container, as well as education and support for those who are called to Plant Medicine. Ceremony is a state of mind that can embraced every single moment of our lives. We seek to help others cultivate this way of being through integrating spiritual experience.

We also believe that human connection is a powerful gateway to the soul. Maharani Medicine offers a community space for all people to share and grow.

We honor ourselves by truly integrating our Plant Medicine journeys. In choosing to remember Love on the daily, we help the world heal. It is our prayer that we can support people, whether they are preparing for ceremony, sitting in ceremony or integrating afterward. We want every person we meet to thrive and find great internal success. We invite you to join us!

This was my first time doing Ayahuasca and I was extremely nervous. Eliana and all the facilitators were kind and supportive and created an environment that felt safe. The ceremonies were challenging, but so beautiful and powerful. I was able to face things that scared me and came out feeling stronger and on a path to healing. The music was absolutely amazing and fit perfectly with every moment of the journey. Everyone had so much wisdom to share and I learned a lot. I am so grateful for this experience and would definitely recommend to anyone considering attending a ceremony.

This was by far the most incredible, life altering experience. It was beautiful, terrifying, transformative, loving, and fun. I met the most wonderful people, I now call friends and family. I encountered so much beauty, love, and support throughout the weekend. Additionally, the music was incredible, and helped deepen the experience.
Integrating back home has been challenging, and Eliana has pointed me in the proper avenues. I look forward to meeting grandmother ayahuasca again, and sitting ceremony with maharani medicine circles

I feel so grateful that I was connected to Eliana in my search for an Ayahuasca facilitator, I went into this experience as a first timer pretty blind. I only knew of a few friends who had used Ayahuasca, and it seemed like this hidden world trying to find someone. I flew to Phoenix for this ceremony and I can say that Eliana was extremely sensitive and helpful and understanding and connected me with one of her facilitators to hold my hand on the way up to the ceremony.
I come from 25 years of facilitating personal growth workshops and have led 1000s of people through transformational experiences (without any medicine/drug). And, I’ve seen the world of instagram shamans that felt less than authentic to me so I was a little bit skeptical going in, and, and I was very impressed with this group. The instructions that were given were extremely helpful for the preparation (dieta) and the context set in our integration circles was also very enlightening. I imagine many people could take this medicine without a lot of direction or intention, and come away with either a bad experience or a high experience, given how intense it can be (and was for me). Eliana and Austin (the two head facilitators) gave excellent perspectives about the use of this medicine, what it can possibly do for us, and the work we would need to put in to help make that happen. It’s not doing a drug to escape my pain, but going into my deepest hidden places and loving those parts of me, getting to the core of who I am – light and love – and clearing away the gunk that is not that. While they are not psychologists (I am a counselor/coach), they have an excellent understanding of shadow work and it’s importance to healing.
Through the experience I felt incredibly loved and cared for; I knew I was not alone and at any time could ask for help, and did often. Taking Ayahuasca was terrifying and also so g*damn beautiful, and knowing I was not alone and having the intention that I worked hard to create really helped. We had 4 additional facilitators who gave excellent words of wisdom through the experience while they were tending to our physical well-being; I never felt judged (an issue for me in past workshops), only supported and guided.
Eli and Austin are down-to-earth, practical guides; no spiritual woo-woo here. And, the music was just absolutely incredible, both the curated playlist, and Eliana’s singing. It was like a divine voice sent to give me the messages I needed through the whole experience.
Thank you so much Maharani Medicine Circles for holding space and co-creating this magnificent experience.
And thank you to Prem Vidu for the integration and intention creating support.

Be the emptiness , there you will find bliss.

This is the founding insight that came to me during our second night of ceremony while contemplating the nature of the ego. Words can’t fully capture the level of gratitude and pure joy felt in my heart space during and after our ceremony. This was my first time sitting with Ayahuasa, and the facilitators (Eliana, Austin, Bex and Peter) created such a loving and supportive space that allowed us to be vulnerable, and have the courage to go deep into the healing process happening within our physical, energetic and emotional bodies. Their soothing and soulful music performance carried us to other realms, gently encouraging our spirits to dance and mingle with the essence of life itself. Every note played seemed to whisper secrets of the universe into our souls, embedding us with ancient wisdom and sublime tranquility.

The ambiance of the retreat space was intentionally designed to foster serenity and encourage receptivity to the process. Surrounded by the silent whispers of the ancient ponderosa trees and the radiant energy of the full moon during the equinox, the environment contributed to a mystical experience and sacred space where healing could unfold organically. Eliana, Austin, Bex, and Peter were not just facilitators; they were companions and guides on this enigmatic journey. Their presence was a steady beacon of support and love.

One’s experience with Ayahuasca largely depends on the individual’s openness and readiness to embrace change, willingness to be vulnerable and acceptance whatever comes up, and not run away from the discomfort or scary dark nature of ourselves. The retreat was a profound healing, humbling and life-altering experience that has left an indelible mark on my spirit. The insights that came to me during those sacred moments continue to reverberate through me. Sitting in ceremony with Eliana and Austin offers an unparalleled opportunity to dissolve the illusionary boundaries of the self and connect deeply with the unfathomable well of cosmic consciousness. With a heart full of gratitude and a wellspring of love, I highly recommend this transformative experience to all spiritual seekers and curious souls.

    With eternal love,
    Kendall

I sat for my first 3 weekend ceremonies with Eliana and her Team and I cannot say enough about how beautiful and transformative her set, setting, and ability to partner with the medicine(s) are! On top of that are her musical talents which are amazingly beautiful on their own, but absolutely mind-blowing under medicine. Her voice is angelic and has a life of its own, hitting notes and pitches that are just perfectly timed with elements of the journey.
Eliana offers a nice (and always voluntary) set of complimentary medicines that are in perfect harmony with Grandmother, too.
Eliana holds and carries the medicine with absolute reverence. She is super respectful of the medicines! She is also super humble and claims the medicine does her own work and Eliana is simply a carrier. I respectfully dis-agree and believe the Spirit of the carrier/provider is a vital Partner to the Spirit of the Medicine. Eliana is the Connection.
Eliana provides “quite-group” time at the end of each journey to reflect and share on some deep emotional issue – super hard and super cathartic, super healing. Then she might have some fun with Tool to close ceremony on a high, happy, super-charged note.
Sit with Eliana and her Team. You will not be sorry you did!
    Love, Tom
