To become a butterfly, the caterpillar should give up its previous form. After that, it becomes something new, while it keeps all the good it has a caterpillar. Our retreat center is doing the same. ๐Ÿฆ‹

We are the former “Light of the Shipibo” Retreat. ๐“๐ก๐ž ๐ญ๐ž๐š๐ฆ, ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐š๐œ๐ž, ๐š๐ง๐ ๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ is the same. ๐“๐ก๐ž ๐จ๐ง๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ญ๐ก๐š๐ญ changed ๐ขs ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐œ๐š๐ง๐๐ฒ ๐ฐ๐ซ๐š๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ.

Booking a week-long retreat with Lighthouse! was one of the most transformative experiences of my life โœจ Arriving unsure of what to expect, I was met with an overwhelming sense of kindness, unconditional love, and unwavering support.

If you’re considering an Ayahuasca journey, I wholeheartedly recommend Lighthouse!. From the initial, helpful logistics provided by Ivan to the immediate embrace of the loving team onsite, you truly feel like part of a family. The sanctuary itself is breathtaking, nestled deep within the jungle, where the sounds of nature create a truly immersive experience. Yet, the comfortable living spaces ensure a balance of tranquility and comfort. You get the best of both worlds!

Maestro Antenor, Christian, Jino, Lady Diana, Joshua, and every other member of this incredible team โ€“ thank you for creating such a safe and supportive space. I will never forget this experience!!

It went very well Iโ€™d say. Felt like I lived 2 lifetimes in that week. It was draining but in a good way. I think I gained enlightenment and got help in different areas of my life. I guess only time will tell. I was thinking about coming back in a few years but after the final ceremony I donโ€™t think I have to I still havenโ€™t eaten any pork for the 3 month protocol. I had some wine when I first came back but poured the rest down the toilet. I donโ€™t have the need to drink or do drugs anymore. Less anxiety and depression, anger, not perfect or all the way gone but alot better and more patience. Iโ€™m trying to work on my diet and fasting so these changes last Why no pork.? If you donโ€™t mind me asking.? And do you have any advice or tips for living after the retreat.? Thanks for everything, you and the rest of the staff and Maestro were amazing and felt like long lost relatives โ™ฅ๏ธI am forever grateful to Joshua for putting this place together, hopefully I can meet him and you and person 1 day ๏ธ

Attending a Lighthouse 13-day retreat was a profoundly transformative and impactful experience. My purpose is now clear.
While the food is well-prepared, accommodations comfortable, and location beautiful, itโ€™s the people that staff the retreat that makes it special. To a person, I felt that they were there for my healing and support throughout my stay.

It is a truly special place that I cannot recommend highly enough.

Itโ€™s been ten months since visit to Lighthouse, at the time called Light if the Shibipo. I should have left this review months ago but so it goes. Iโ€™ll do my best to keep this as a review of the retreat and not of my personal experience with the medicine. That being said, if youโ€™re looking for healing and youโ€™re looking for truth the medicine is for you and I canโ€™t imagine a better place to experience it than Lighthouse.

This was my first ayahuasca experience so I tried to keep my expectations to a minimum but there were some things that I did expect. I expected the medicine to be intense, I expected the ceremonies to be powerful, and I expected the entire experience to be transformative. What I didnโ€™t expect were all of the things that make this place special.
First of all, this place and the people here are filled with immeasurable levels of love and compassion, itโ€™s palpable, you can feel it in the air. I know that sounds like romantic non-sense but itโ€™s true. And you get it from everyone you meet; the cooks, the guys working the grounds, the cats and dogs, everyone. Especially Jinho, Christian, and Lady. The interactions and conversations I had with them were among the top highlights of this experience. Jinho is full of so much knowledge and was a constant to source of wisdom and guidance. Christian has such an amazing spirit, it radiates from him and you canโ€™t help but to smile when heโ€™s around. And Lady, I canโ€™t say enough good things about this woman. I had several wonderful conversations with her throughout the week, one in particular stands out. After the third and final ceremony I sat in the Maloka with Lady and we talked for over an hour, it was a powerful moment for me and just as valuable as the ceremony it self. It canโ€™t be overstated that all three of them, and everyone else on site, approached everything with love and compassion.

As far as the accommodations go, everything was great. The room was spacious and had a fan and a desk with a chair if youโ€™re inclined to write or journal. Private bathrooms as well. If you worry about bugs and mosquitos in the room I can say that I never saw themโ€ฆin the room.

The food was vegan which was new for me but all good. Lots of fresh, local fruits and juices, avocados for breakfast and specialty dishes. Same with lunch. I always felt like it was enough so good there.

The grounds are beautiful and very well kept. I saw lots of colorful butterflies and moths. Nothing terrifying in terms of creepy crawlers. plenty of mosquitos, though I was there during the rainy season ( and experienced one of the most intense thunder storms Iโ€™ve ever been through, bonus}.

Speaking of the people, the Shaman was incredible. He was also full of love and compassion, he had a good sense of humor as well. His Icaros were powerful and I always felt perfectly safe with him guiding me through and protecting me in the spirit world and in that vulnerable position in the physical world as well.
You get to sit with the shaman the day following each ceremony and talk about your experience. This gives you an opportunity to ask questions and gain guidance. Very valuable.
The ceremonies didnโ€™t lack and it was great to have both Lady and Christian there as facilitators to lend a hand or give comfort to anyone that needs it.

It took me three years from the time I decided to take the medicine to actually picking a place. There are a lot of options out there and a lot of things to consider. I actually booked and cancelled at two retreats previous to booking Lighthouse. Once I was there I immediately knew I picked the right spot. Coming out of the second ceremony I was convinced that I didnโ€™t choose this place, this place chose me. Thatโ€™s something that I truly believe.

My only regret is that I stayed for only one week rather than two. This was a truly transformative experience in the best possible place. Iโ€™ll be back at the end of January. Maybe this time Iโ€™ll meet Josh and Ivan

I cannot speak highly enough of this place and the people in it. From day one until the day we left I felt welcomed and loved. My experience was profound. The shamans amazing. Very positive atmosphere. The team at Lighthouse is genuinely loving.
Mama ayahausca gave me spiritual breakthrough and brought forth alot of healing and forgiveness. An enormous weight was lifted. I seen and learned things that has changed my life forever. All for the good. I must do a special shout out to a few people…..Lady, such a heartfelt caring soul. Christian, always cheerful and accommodating and full of love. Jino, supportive, insightful and a pleasure to speak to. Joshua, an inspiration you are doing a wonderful thing. Congrats on the Beautiful Baby Boy. Our Shamans were very connected. Maestra Lilia so openhearted and all love. Of course everyone there is amazing. I felt at home.
