Private Ayahuasca & San Pedro Retreat in the heart of San Pedro de Vilcabamba, in Loja, Ecuador. Casa Del Sol works with small groups to optimize the quality of your experience, and share the space as a family. Blessed with a beautiful location within the Valley of Longevity, we integrate ourselves with its powerful medicine; our retreats include walking through its mountains, cleansing ourselves in the waterfalls and in the river in front of our home. We make offerings, meditate, practice yoga, hold sweat lodges and plant medicine ceremonies to encourage this integration.

April 1, 2022 at 3:25 pmVery positive experience.
Like the other reviewers I am deeply grateful to Santiago, Ximena, Mateo, Suzannah and other members of the Casa del Sol family.
This family is dedicated to serving plant medicines in a respectful manner that furthers the personal growth of their guests. I have participated in many plant medicine retreats and Casa del Sol is very authentic on all levels.
My wife and I were the oldest members of the retreat by quite a few years. We felt very comfortable at Casa del Sol.
With respect, thank you.

December 24, 2021 at 2:41 pmI had an wonderful experience at Casa del Sol. It was a very family centered experience working with Santiago, Ximena, and Mateo. The shamans will get to know you and your intentions prior to ceremonies, which is very important. The medicine journeys are amazing but also safe and supported with skilled healers. The atmosphere they create is beautiful and full of love. Healing requires your commitment to do the hard work, and the people at Casa del Sol will make it possible for you. It includes following a diet and healthy and delicious meals are prepared for you in their kitchen. I hope to return here again before too long.

December 18, 2021 at 12:46 pmThis retreat was monumental for the healing of our family due to loss of a loved one. I highly recommend for anyone wanting to work individually or together to improve on connections, shed pain, and understanding self. It is an opportunity to learn and grow in unique ways with amazing people!

December 12, 2021 at 5:18 pmWords are not enough to describe the experience you will have at Casa del Sol. Santiago, Ximena, Mateo, and their entire family and people assisting them will change your world and life. This is the second time I have worked with them and I felt just as much love, support, and healing as the first time. If you have worked with plant medicine before, your experience here will be unrivaled. If you are new to the work, know that you will be supported and guided with no pressure and no expectations other than bring an open mind and heart.

November 23, 2021 at 11:14 pmBefore I came to Casa del Sol, I had some experience with plant medicine after going on retreat in Peru. I knew that I wanted to share the experience with family and loved ones. For my retreat at CdS, I invited my mother with me to help her deal with her demons and nagging issues with grief, while I wanted to continue down the spiritual path that opened up to me after my first plant medicine ceremony. Santiago, Ximena and Mateo, along with Nace and Nati and the rest of the team were wonderful and welcoming, radiating high energy, always using the right moments to teach, other moments to heal, and others to be silent and let the tribe speak their truth.
I took a lot from each ceremony and felt like it was the right environment to work through my issues or just explore. My mother, who had never done any psychedelics in her life and was super brave, also came away from the ceremonies with a lot of insights and positivity. In her words, she said she felt ‘like she had the strength to move on now.’
It’s really challenging work and not recreational. You’ll be forced to confront your mortality multiple times throughout the retreat. If you’re not ready to do the work or give the process the proper respect, consider another healing modality. The temezcal on the first night will convince you that you’re in for some serious shit. The medicines are strong and you will be encouraged by the family to take as much as you can handle. Don’t be shy about asking for more, but trust the process, listen to the experts, and know your limits.
The local partners we got to work with in October were massage therapists, art therapists, yoga teachers, and a healer of the lymphatic system. Everybody has their head in the right place and seemed to know what we were going through. The people you’ll have access to will change from retreat to retreat though.
You’ll come away with new family members and the beginnings of a support network to help you through your integration process.
Casa del Sol comes super highly recommended. Would absolutely return and probably will after I’ve worked on what the medicine taught me.
