Private Ayahuasca & San Pedro Retreat in the heart of San Pedro de Vilcabamba, in Loja, Ecuador. Casa Del Sol works with small groups to optimize the quality of your experience, and share the space as a family. Blessed with a beautiful location within the Valley of Longevity, we integrate ourselves with its powerful medicine; our retreats include walking through its mountains, cleansing ourselves in the waterfalls and in the river in front of our home. We make offerings, meditate, practice yoga, hold sweat lodges and plant medicine ceremonies to encourage this integration.

January 17, 2019 at 3:36 pmSantiago The Shaman is the real deal but I would stay away as his wife talks about love and healing but is a hypocrite and gives Lip Service to it and undoes any sort of help or healing Santiago does I attended to do ayahuasca and after attending I now suffer from cluster headaches I asked them to help me with my father and I got told effectively to go away so please understand you will get a conflicting service and quite possibly one of them is a charlatan and a hypocrite and I would not say that inauthentic person is Santiago he seems to be genuine but be warned that there is one entity at this Retreat that will work against you you have been warned
San Pedro & Ayahuasca Retreat in Ecuador
January 22, 2019 at 2:41 amHi Pengoau, this is Ximena,
I’m deeply sorry you’re experiencing discontent…and I’m sorry if my communication to you seemed cold.
Without going into your personal details on a public website, there’s a couple things I’d like to say to everyone reading:
It’s important to understand what you should and should not expect during and after retreats. I’m sorry for not making these clear enough at the beginning and the discontent you feel now.
Indeed Shamans are specialists in plant medicines and the ancient traditions of energy healings. Santiago has helped hundreds of people get what they need during ceremonies to feel better, implement learnings, and take action in their lives after they return home.
There are certain things we just simply cannot offer since we don’t have the proper expertise or ability, such as providing therapy with participants and their family members after the retreat. This type of help is better offered by accredited experts such as psychologists and family therapists.
I am more than willing to help you find a therapist or integration specialist if you so desire. If you would accept this help, please email me at casadelsolvilcabamba@gmail.com.
Warmest regards, Ximena

January 6, 2019 at 11:28 amFive stars state “near-perfect”, so I had no other choice however I would say “this is simply the place with the people” so just skip the word near!
The location in an epic neighborhood of Vilcabamba, directly on a bank of a river surrounded by beautiful hills and mountains of Andes. The Flocky (a dog) takes care of, anyway already given, security and Natalia serves delicious meals (very fresh and vegetarian) and takes care of our accomodation. So only thing to think about is our spirituality. Here the Ximena, Santiago and their son Matteo came into the game. Set of ceromonies of San Pedro combined with Rapé, Kambo, sweat lodge and finally Aya itself made the journey AMAZING with lots of thoughts to work on during my daily life. In addition, set of acctivities like yoga, painting workshop (to express ourselves in a different way), breathing classes and needless to say several sharing circles made the retreat PERFECT!
Communication with Santiago and Ximena before, during and after my stay is what i actually needed.
One day, after I execute teachings from the current retreat, I will be back to them to get know myself even better.
Thank you all for making this retreat possible!

December 27, 2018 at 11:39 amSantiago and Ximena have created an incredible space for healing. The food provided is fresh, nourishing, alive, and the accommodations comfortable. Most important is working with two incredible healers that bring forth both the masculine and feminine to each ceremony (nature and nurture).
The medicine is powerful and provided me with answers and a better understanding of my own being. However it is up to me to work with the information provided and to remove those patterns in life that hold me back.
They are both very humble, wise, and loving people. They are amazing healers and teachers: I feel blessed to have been in their company.

December 2, 2018 at 10:53 amHave you ever had an experience that was so amazing and life changing, all you want to do is share it with everyone you know?? If you have, then you know how powerful it can be. This is Casa Del Sol.
I was absolutely blown away by the initial love that I felt here energetically and literally. Santiago, his wife Ximena, and their family were kind beyond words. They instantly took my friend and I in line family. After the first 5 minutes of conversation with Santiago, I was instantly comfortable and confident (not necessarily the feelings I had previously.) His ability to share and be a relatable human make him a medicine man like none other. I knew this was the perfect place, in the perfect timing.
Their approach to the medicine, the land, and the entire process of ceremony was profound to see and be a part of. The purpose and intention that this work will give you has potential beyond anything else I have experienced. Learning how to let go of fear and expectation, surrender to the mother, create purpose, and share these lessons with the world.
The medicine was profound. The teachings of Santiago and his family were life changing. If you are considering ceremony and are looking at Casa Del Sol, stop thinking and take the plunge. Dive in. On the other side of fear is always love.
So much gratitude,
Kevin

December 1, 2018 at 11:37 amI’m not one to usually write reviews – but an experience as personal as plant medicine for healing, this may be the most important decision one makes.
Set and setting and intention bringing to the medicine is I believe the most important. The medicine gives you what you need and what she needs but to have a good place that you believe in the purpose and the reason for being there.. to have this aids so much of what you take out of it. Because the work starts at the center and follows you home where the hard work begins.
Casa del Sol is a family. Truly, and you feel part of it. It’s done for the right reasons and is meant to heal a sick world. Santiago and his family are amazing, they are kind, generous with words and time and will meet you where you’re at. I was just done with biking across Columbia and Ecuador in the Andes for 2 months, in a mindset feeling very connected with the earth and getting to know myself. Santiago graciously led me through my first ceremonies that only grew my connection to this beautiful earth, it’s spirits and the kindness I needed to find inside me.
If you have any doubts about doing medicine in South America anywhere – you should and you’re right. It may not be for you, or maybe not now. But this place and this family will give you the right set and setting to try it – if you believe it’s your path.
If it’s calling you, these people, this land, and the spiritual experience here is the right choice.
