Ayahuasca $2,500 - $4,500

Arkana Spiritual Center

Iquitos and Urubamba in Peru

Our Program
At Arkana, we create the space for you to get in touch with your truth, opening your path for deeper meaning and greater fulfillment in your life. We work with ancestral medicines such as Ayahuasca, San Pedro, Bufo Alvarius, Rapé , using the traditional practices of the indigenous cultures of the Peruvian Amazon. We currently operate two centers in Peru, one in the Peruvian Amazon and a second one in the Sacred Valley (close to Machu Picchu), and one in Mexico, the choice is yours.

With great respect for the plants and the knowledge and healing that comes with them, our lineage of Shipibo shamans set the stage for truly deep and profound healing. Awaken your inner power through their sacred and powerful icaros (healing songs), and discover your connection to all things by exploring some of the 2.2 million hectare Pacaya Samiria National Reserve which is our backyard. Nourish your body and soul with fresh, clean, delicious meals that promote your Ayahuasca experience, and integrate healthy habits into your routine with our yoga classes and extensive selection of gym equipment for all levels. We believe the health of physical body sets the foundation for the health of the energetic body – Often ignored in this type of spiritual work, we find this to be an important part of the healing process, so you can begin implementing the healthy habits that will carry this work with you into your life back home. Finally, relax your mind and spirit with sound baths, meditations, breathwave sessions, and OM circles, or simply enjoy the tranquil views of both sunrise and sunset from our front porch on the banks of the Ucayali River, surrounded by lush biodiversity and the mesmerizing sounds of the jungle.

Arkana’s exceptional team of highly-trained Shipibo Master Shamans represent an unbroken lineage of plant medicine work. With a combined history of over 70 years of experience working closely with Ayahuasca and other master plant teachers of the jungle, our compassionate healers lovingly share their teachings, healing songs (icaros), capabilities, and knowledge with integrity and honor. We strive to maintain the traditional practices passed down through thousands of years of indigenous Amazonian culture, in order to continue to promote the true purpose and nature of plant medicine work.

Experiencing the medicines with us is a transformative personal journey, and so much more. We also work closely with our local community, the Amazonian village of Libertad, to ensure that our Center can benefit and give back to the people who have so generously let us into their homes and hearts. We create employment opportunities, teach free English classes, provide a space for the ladies to sell their handmade crafts, and assist in construction projects, among other things. Our latest endeavor is outfitting the entire village with free solar panels, so every house can have light and electricity. When you join us, you are helping the rainforest and the Amazon communities that live here.

Guests that come to our Center often say they feel like “part of the family” with us – that’s no coincidence, as we are one big family at Arkana! The people that are with you throughout your experience can simply facilitate your own healing journey or become an integral part of it. Our experienced, loving, and professional team of caregivers welcomes you to join our tribe, where we strive to make you feel at home and at ease, supported and cared for with all the love and compassion that is at the core of the plant medicines and people we work with.

Ayahuasca is a powerful medicine that offers us the opportunity to understand our true nature, by shining a light onto our darkness, and holding a mirror up to our fears, negative thought patterns, and self-limiting beliefs. We provide the environment and expertise of a team of highly skilled, warm, compassionate Shamans and facilitators to guide you through the process of awakening, of choosing differently, healing, and expanding. It is a slow but steady path towards freedom – from fear, from illusion, from self-constructed boundaries – resulting in a lighter, brighter, more authentic self, and the full experience of love. It is our honor to help you on this most fulfilling of all journeys: the journey back home.

We look forward to having you with us!

Lots of Love,
The Team

Having just returned from a three week stay with Pulse Tours Ayahuasca Adventure Center, I can truly say that, while it was completely different from what I had expected, those three weeks have given me something which I truly needed, as well as the much needed strength to continue down this spiritual path I have begun.

I knew that drinking Ayahuasca would not be easy. I had not expected that I would fight myself the whole way. If you had asked me how I felt after the first ceremony, I would have told you that it was beyond me why anyone would choose to put themselves through such an ordeal…and that with 11 more ceremonies to go! I now also understand why some say that it would be better to go into this process without any pre-conceptions or expectations. But that is also part of the process: Learning to let go of the feeling that you need to know how everything is going to turn out.

After 12 ceremonies, I can truly say a few things: 1) These were most certainly some of the most challenging 3 weeks of my life and 2) these three weeks brought me more than I could have ever imagined. Also 3) although I now know the amount of hard work involved in working with Ayahuasca, I have also received enough healing to know that my work with Ayahuasca is not finished and that there is still much more to learn about myself and the world we live in.

Pulse Tours and the center are run very professionally and with the utmost care, personal attention and love. It is a place to feel safe. The facilitators never seem to tire of the many questions, fears and doubts which are brought up. It is up to each individual to make their own very personal journey, and this can be a very daunting process for some, and at times you might feel very vulnerable. The team of facilitators is always there to help, direct and support you. They are like family for the time of your stay.

The facilities at the center are clean and comfortable. Most spaces are free of insects through the use of endless amounts of mosquito netting. The toilets and showers are always kept clean. The food is generally very good.

Just something to think about: When I talked to the shaman, I was advised to also do a ‘Dieta’ for the three weeks. The ‘Dieta’ will supposedly connect you deeper with the Ayahuasca and make your stay even more worthwhile spiritually, however, in order to hold the diet, you will have to deny yourself things such as fruit, juices, sweets, toothpaste, soap, insect repellant, skin creams, suntan lotion, even sitting in the sun! So, you need to consider how much you are willing to put up with when agreeing to also follow a ‘Dieta’. I personally am not aware how my diet specifically helped me along, but others really benefitted in specific ways from their ‘Dieta’. Again, everything about your experience with Ayahuasca will be very personal, and comparisons to anyone else will usually prove futile.

My three weeks in the Jungle of Peru, guided by the competent facilitators at Pulse Tours, has been an unforgettable experience and has allowed me to grow in ways which I am still not completely able to process. As was often said during my three weeks: “Ayahuasca is a process”. The process started in the middle of the jungle, but it will continue throughout the rest of your life. When you realise this, then you also realise what an amazing gift you have been given!

I first heard of Pulse from a friend who highly recommended it. I’ve been listening to Aubrey Marcus’ podcast and became very interested in Ayahuasca. Only once the experience was finished could I see the whole picture. You can listen until you’re blue in the face but can only understand once experienced. I am so grateful to Pulse (crying now… , happens often now). Pulse is run by people who made a conscious decision to support this life changing experience in the most loving way. Thinking about it is making my third eye go off. Not only are the ceremonies done with the utmost respect to ayahuasca, the shamans and the guests, but the rest of the trip is full of joy, love and peace. Also Cleanliness!! Soooo important!! Its always soooo clean!!! The importance of this fact only becomes apparent morning after ceremony. The food was delicious, every meal you learn to appreciate each bite more and more. And I guess the biggest thing I got from being at pulse, was learning how to stop, how to nap, how to rest, how to be gentle with myself, and to know that everyone deserves peace. Pulse showed me peace.

So, I just arrived back home in San Diego from my very first psychedelic experience of my life and I was lucky enough for it to be ayahuasca through Pulse. I had mixed feelings going in, since I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect from the center and from the medicine itself, but I was blown away by all of it! The staff is so loving and caring and very much a part of the experience, they all are some of the kindest and most accepting people I’ve had the privilege of meeting. The center is beautiful, the bugs weren’t too bad(make sure to pack lots of strong bug spray), you don’t need too many clothes or shoes..I definitely overpacked. I also heard a lot about other centers from other travelers and am convinced that Pulse is above rest, best decision I’ve made and I’m happy and excited about life again!

My time at Pulse Tours was the most incredible experience I could ever have hoped for. From the moment I was greeted by Tatyana and the crew at La Ca Sona to arriving within the tranquil landscape and breathtaking design that pulse has to offer within the majestical Amazon.
This was my second stay at Pulse with so many new things to explore and enjoy. A big mention goes out to Dolan, Val, Craig, Tamara and the unbelievable Shamans omfgggg! They not only connect to all the guests in every way possible, they go above and beyond while ensuring such strong intuition and love to make sure every aspect of my healing process was addressed and that’s just the beginning! They are incredible ambassadors to this unique experience and I am forever grateful to each and every one of them. I could talk for days about there greatness, you’ll see when you arrive!
Our group got super lucky with only 6 of us and got to witness over 6 shamans singing and healing at the same time which I believe was extremely rare and really created a whole new level of healing! On top of that there is so much down time and places to explore within the center and its always being upgraded even as we speak….there’s always something to do! The adventure trips are such a blast and the tour guys are so knowledgeable and so much fun, my favorite thing was the kamen hunting which was a night boating over thick Lillie pads with the sounds of owls, frogs and the trees would glisten and glow many colors from the fire flies!
Thanks once again to everyone! I will be returning as soon as I can without a doubt, won’t go anywhere else and will spread the love to all my friends and family. Love and light always!

Don’t let the name put you off (my least favourite thing about the centre); this place is the real deal!

Three powerful Shipibo shaman at every ceremony with the chance to share and get feedback from them the next day following every ceremony, wonderful, wise and caring facilitators, a fantastic moloka with connecting toilets all mosquito netted, amazing jungle adventure tour guides, a welcoming village close by, good food, friendly cleaning and cooking staff, 24 hour security, comfortable rooms, you name it!

Will definitely be going back one day!
