Ayahuasca $2,500 - $4,500

Arkana Spiritual Center

Iquitos and Urubamba in Peru

Our Program
At Arkana, we create the space for you to get in touch with your truth, opening your path for deeper meaning and greater fulfillment in your life. We work with ancestral medicines such as Ayahuasca, San Pedro, Bufo Alvarius, Rapé , using the traditional practices of the indigenous cultures of the Peruvian Amazon. We currently operate two centers in Peru, one in the Peruvian Amazon and a second one in the Sacred Valley (close to Machu Picchu), and one in Mexico, the choice is yours.

With great respect for the plants and the knowledge and healing that comes with them, our lineage of Shipibo shamans set the stage for truly deep and profound healing. Awaken your inner power through their sacred and powerful icaros (healing songs), and discover your connection to all things by exploring some of the 2.2 million hectare Pacaya Samiria National Reserve which is our backyard. Nourish your body and soul with fresh, clean, delicious meals that promote your Ayahuasca experience, and integrate healthy habits into your routine with our yoga classes and extensive selection of gym equipment for all levels. We believe the health of physical body sets the foundation for the health of the energetic body – Often ignored in this type of spiritual work, we find this to be an important part of the healing process, so you can begin implementing the healthy habits that will carry this work with you into your life back home. Finally, relax your mind and spirit with sound baths, meditations, breathwave sessions, and OM circles, or simply enjoy the tranquil views of both sunrise and sunset from our front porch on the banks of the Ucayali River, surrounded by lush biodiversity and the mesmerizing sounds of the jungle.

Arkana’s exceptional team of highly-trained Shipibo Master Shamans represent an unbroken lineage of plant medicine work. With a combined history of over 70 years of experience working closely with Ayahuasca and other master plant teachers of the jungle, our compassionate healers lovingly share their teachings, healing songs (icaros), capabilities, and knowledge with integrity and honor. We strive to maintain the traditional practices passed down through thousands of years of indigenous Amazonian culture, in order to continue to promote the true purpose and nature of plant medicine work.

Experiencing the medicines with us is a transformative personal journey, and so much more. We also work closely with our local community, the Amazonian village of Libertad, to ensure that our Center can benefit and give back to the people who have so generously let us into their homes and hearts. We create employment opportunities, teach free English classes, provide a space for the ladies to sell their handmade crafts, and assist in construction projects, among other things. Our latest endeavor is outfitting the entire village with free solar panels, so every house can have light and electricity. When you join us, you are helping the rainforest and the Amazon communities that live here.

Guests that come to our Center often say they feel like “part of the family” with us – that’s no coincidence, as we are one big family at Arkana! The people that are with you throughout your experience can simply facilitate your own healing journey or become an integral part of it. Our experienced, loving, and professional team of caregivers welcomes you to join our tribe, where we strive to make you feel at home and at ease, supported and cared for with all the love and compassion that is at the core of the plant medicines and people we work with.

Ayahuasca is a powerful medicine that offers us the opportunity to understand our true nature, by shining a light onto our darkness, and holding a mirror up to our fears, negative thought patterns, and self-limiting beliefs. We provide the environment and expertise of a team of highly skilled, warm, compassionate Shamans and facilitators to guide you through the process of awakening, of choosing differently, healing, and expanding. It is a slow but steady path towards freedom – from fear, from illusion, from self-constructed boundaries – resulting in a lighter, brighter, more authentic self, and the full experience of love. It is our honor to help you on this most fulfilling of all journeys: the journey back home.

We look forward to having you with us!

Lots of Love,
The Team

I went to Arkana Spiritual Center for a week long retreat in the end of July beginning of August 2018. They have beautiful very healing grounds. The Shamans were very authentic indigenous people with years of experience. The staff and facilitators are excellent and helped me greatly. I highly recommend them for an excellent experience. ~Sam Dillon

    Perfect.

The Arkana retreat in the Sacred Valley is nestled in a beautiful location. The grounds themselves are tended to with love and care and this is more than reflected in the smiles and hearts of the staff that work there.

The rooms themselves are comfortable, clean and well maintained (at least our room was), it could sometimes be a bit tricky to navigate the stairs after a ceremony if you’re on the top floor but that was no biggy (!) (it did take me like 10 mins to walk up them one night but that’s because i spent a while stargazing(!)

The facilitators themselves couldnt be better. They genuinely care about you, fill you with love and help guide you on, or start your spiritual journey.
The staff really did make the retreat..

The ceremonies themselves are well managed and the energy is electric. if you’re on the fence about the toad ceremony – get off the fence and book it – easily the single most profound moment of my life and way more than i was expecting – the ceremony itself is held in a seperate area to the ayahuasca ceremonies and it’s very personal and intimate.

Those who have said it was disorganized – I don’t really agree with that but it is a bit casual/laid back with regards to organization of which personally like. I have enough regimentation in my western life!

I will hopefully be back to Arkana – and i look forward to finding out what their amazon retreat is like!

I love you guys, all of you x

I was recently at the Arkana Sacred valley back in January 2019. It’s a great center! I highly recommend anyone wanting to do a Ayahuasca ceremony to go there. Not only do they offer Ayahuasca but also Sapo and San Pedro. The Shamans are knowledgeable and wonderful! They are very open and kind. They both have about 40+ years each of experience with the medicine . Their Icaros are amazing and literally move you!
The facilitators are also just as amazing. They are always within reach and always more than happy to answer any questions for you. They all have amazing voices which are wonderful to hear while under Ayahuasca. Everyone there is so kind and always happy to help. The people that run the center are always available for any questions and happy to help. The kitchen staff is wonderful! The food is delicious and they cater to any dietary needs. The staff that cleans the rooms and does laundry is also very helpful. There are a couple of extra services they offer on the side. I highly recommend you try anyone of those out. I did get a massage and tried out magnetism therapy as well. Highly recommended!
When I say everyone there was helpful and kind I mean every single person I saw at the center. Even the resident dogs and cat!
The center is located near a river that sounds amazing when in ceremony.
Arkana sacred valley also offers a trip to Machu Picchu. I would recommend you take the trip. It is extra but definitely worth the money.
I honestly can not find one thing I did not like about the center.
    This trip was life changing!
Highly recommend Arkana Sacred Valley center.

I can’t speak highly enough of my experience with Arkana retreat. The facility used to be a hotel. Each room has private bathroom. There is a dedicated ceremony area as well as eating area. It is positioned right along a river with plenty of space to walk and find private space if wanted.

The staff is incredible. They provide so much love and peace to work through whatever challenge you bring. They are all accomplished artists and provide the energy and music to help you through your experience.

My experience with the other guests drawn to Arkana was one of love and healing to the last person. Everyone left with new lifelong friends to stay in contact with.

The days are filled with activity and preparation to achieve your goals in both private and group sessions. There are also days to travel to Machu Picchu or hike one of the many mountains nearby to see the Salt Mines. They also provide a guided day tour to shopping at a local village.

The Shamans were amazing. They were extremely powerful and knowledgeable about energies and the plant medicine.

The medicine was powerful and led me to where I needed to go for my goals. The Shamans and staff understand what they are providing and guide all to achieve their goals with the plant medicine.

I highly recommend Arkana if you are looking for a plant medicine healing retreat.
